No Earth Wire and RCD Adapter

I am long winded. Bear with me.

1. This past month, I decided to change 1 power socket in my house. The power socket cannot be screwed to the internal box anymore so I was trying to figure out how to fix this. I tried buying those cassette repair devices but they don't work. Don't buy them!

2. In the end I changed it to a dual power socket with an external PVC nut box that I used to hide the hole. I also used liquid nails because I didn't want to drill holes because the socket is below a window. This may be a mistake.

3. Because the internal wires were too short, I had to put wire connectors and extend them with new wires. Previously, the two blacks were wrapped together, the two greens were wrapped together and the two whites were wrapped together. I unwrapped them, and put them into wire connectors and then attached new wires to the wire connectors. All 6 wires were then put into the external nut box where I then put the two black, two green and two red/ white wires into their respective holes in the new dual power socket. It works so far.

4. I used a socket tester to test and noticed no earth wire. I thought at first it's not a problem because all the power sockets in my room said no earth wire. But when I tested in other rooms and the kitchen there was earth wire!

5. I found out 2 rooms + 1 bath (dry) has no earth wire. They are all adjoining to each other. I pressed the button on the socket tester but nothing happened?

6. I spoke to electrician and he didn't seem too concerned except he said don't use heavy appliance in the room. He said only 3 pin plug appliances and metal products will be affected and this was when I recalled that when I used to charge my Macbook Pro I would feel the current when I charged it. Now it all makes sense. He said if I charge laptop and all, it should be OK. He said the lights and ACs should not be affected...

7. He said I can pull an earth wire from a good power socket from another room to a socket in the room(s) that don't have earth wire and it should be OK because it's in a loop?

My questions

1. Could it be 1 power socket that is causing the earth wire now to be broken in the circuit? I remember we had 1 power socket that blew out a multi-usb adapter because we plugged in 2 wireless mics to charge. The power socket still works but if I change it do you think it will solve my earth wire problem? Or if I changed all my power sockets in those 2 rooms + 1 bath?

2. If I bought an RCD adapter (with 3 pin) for certain power points (like bathroom) is that sufficient? Right now, this charges 2 pin appliances only

3. Can this all be fixed at the box and can I add an RCD there or change out the circuit breakers for those rooms?

4. I went to the apartment unit below me to check and noticed only 1 power socket doesn't have earth wire but the rest have in the same areas my rooms. Is that the power socket problem?

I just find pulling a new earth wire from around my house to this part of my house is too much. There must be 1 central point the earth wire is incoming from for this part of my house to be affected and that just needs to be fixed...

Update: OK I added the photos

Nissan Sylphy vs Honda City 2014?

Please don't start on the whole C Segment vs B Segment (Sylphy vs Honda) as the current City V seems to be a fully featured car with items above and beyond other cars (e.g. 3 power points, 2 USB, back air cond vents, cruise control, etc.)

I'm probably going to compare the Sylphy VL and City V.

Sylphy:

RM127,000
Leather seats
Executive feeling
1.8

City:

RM91,000
Soft, comfy seats
Fun feeling
1.5

I'd throw in the new Mazda 3 (RM139,000) and the Jetta (RM136,000) for good measure. The Mazda 3 is a 3 series wannabe and nobody is complaining. The Jetta is refined but fears of high maintenance plague it.

Ignoring that price plays a major factor. Which one would appeal to you more?

Let's look at perception quality - Nissan seems to be less popular. Why? Is it their servicing or the drive of the car? I find the new Sylphy and Teana good-looking - the Teana looks like the new S Class hybrid from the back. Although the new Accord holds it own and is very good-looking too.

I'm planning to do a 45 minute highway drive everyday to and from work and I can't decide which car I like. I want my ride to be comfortable and care-free.

Obviously, if we were compare within the same segment, it would be Civic 2.0S vs Sylphy VL. But I don't find the Civic very appealing. Unless you can convince me otherwise. For both, I'd need to put in a GPS.

I was thinking of an SUV like a Sportage/Tucson vs Subaru XV (looks cheap inside - granted the ASX feels a lot worse) vs CR-V (good car) vs CX-5 (too long a waiting list). So far, CR-V and CX-5 come up tops in this category for me, with the CR-V inching out the CX-5 just because of the long wait list. But do I really need such a large car to ferry me back and forth.

My concern is safety on the highways especially since I drive quite crazily.

Help answer my questions. Looking forward to hearing from sifus.
My situation (home networking and UNIFI)

I need advice from you guys... 'cos I know you guys can understand before I approach TM Point.

So I've attached the image of where I live with my family. We want to share UNIFI VIP20. 1st floor, 2nd Floor Pt1, 2nd Floor Pt2 & 3rd floor. The copper wire featured is internal wiring.

We torrent, stream Youtube/videos, heavy browsing, etc.

My questions are:-

- how many wireless access points can be connected to the DIR-615 / residential gateway? will speed be affected?

- how many IPTV and DECT Phones can be connected to DIR-615 / residential gateway?

- will i be able to restrict bandwidth per access point? (let's say we have 4 wireless access points, can I allocate 5Mbps per WAP? and bandwidth quota? - 120GB/ 4 units = 30Gb per unit)

- will i be able to assign an SSID to each WAP so that internet is kept separate? (1st floor Internet access only, 2nd floor Pt1 Internet access only, 2nd floor Pt 2 access only and 3rd floor access only)

- is there a wireless access point that can cover the entire coverage area that I've described in the picture?

- how many pcs/notebooks/gadgets can be connected to one access point? (each unit uses 6-8 gadgets)

- will i need to attach an extra WAP to the DIR-615 or will the DIR-615 be able to handle 4 WAPs?

- will there be a speed drop if this is implemented? or something similar?

- is my placement of the VDSL and DIR-615 ok? Or should it be placed elsewhere?

- wireless access points only need a wall socket for electricity, right?

- what wireless access points would you recommend? Less wireless access points the better. I currently have a wireless router already so I can use that, right? It covers the entire 3rd floor where I live. It's kept in the corner shown in the picture. It is 802.11n Netgear.

Ok, hope to hear from you soon. Thanks so much.
Streamyx Questions

1. So it doesn't matter what kind of package I am signed to under Streamyx, they are all capped at 20gb a month?

2. Does Jaring cap usage per month to? How much is it?

3. Will Jaring throttle Rapidshare?

4. Would you guys prefer to pay based on the amount of GB you use a month like other countries rather than being told that it is 'unlimited' when it really isn't? i.e. You pay for 100GB a month at the selected speed e.g. 2MBPS with 100GB bandwidth a month @RM350? 'cos that's how other countries do it right?

Anyway, i'm currently thinking of switching to Jaring. As long as they don't throttle Rapidshare.

But I do watch videos and surf excessively. Plus, I intend to do some audio and video production-y things.

I want to also install Linux on the side as a second OS.

Another issue - I put my computer near an open door so I need to know if there's some way to prevent dust or anything?

Plus, can you recommend any good computer desks?

thank you!

How to make a streamyx complaint?

So I called their customer "Care" line but I got a support staff who got fed up with my ample questions. The reason why I had so many questions was because their service was just so bad. Frequent disconnections, connected but can't browse, slow speeds (can't stream videos, can't load speedometer)...and I got told off because I couldn't load the speedometer page and he asked me to do it in the next few days which means cheating me of the RM66 that I pay monthly... he couldn't lodge a report for me because of this.

Anyway, who can I e-mail? They said I can't speak to any of the senior staff because they were all busy and I can't e-mail it in either.

I re-called them 'cos that staff asked me to so I spoke to someone else who told me I can walk in to their TM Point shops or ask her to lodge the complaint for me.

What is the CEO's e-mail address? Any other way?

Malaysia's service provider is not a service provider at all. headache provider more like.
