Sudden Slower Download Speeds

Hey guys just wondering if you guys could help me out here a bit. 2 days ago my Aztech DSL605EW died. So I immediately went out and got myself a replacement. I ended up getting the Belkin F5D7634. Thing is after setting up the device, everything runs fine except that my download speed has been reduced by over 100kbps. I'm running on a 4Mbps line and when I tested it out using my spare modem, I got a comfortable download rate of 420 kbps. But when I hook up my Belkin I cant even break the 300 kbps barrier. The Belkin reports my DSL correctly and all. Wonder if anyone has some input on my current predicament.

EDIT : I went back to AllIT and changed mine for another model. Seems more like a model problem.
