No Acceleration or slow

Hey guys, need all expert input on this issue. Been trying to trouble shoot this problem for the past week or so. Car lacks acceleration, it feels like the car is in 3rd gear or something trying to accelerate from standstill. It's a auto blm. Either no response or climbs really slow. Car smooths out above 2k RPM.

I know the throttle is opening properly, I've got a vacuum meter, when pedal is press the vacuum drops as it should but car was not accelerating or accelerates really slow like in high gear. Above 2k RPM the car behaves quite normal albeit feels a bit more underpowered than usual. No jerking etc, cars just wont go.

So far I cleaned the throttle body, changed the spark plugs, engine oil and gearbox oil was changed recently. Just serviced the brakes and change fan belt. What else could be causing the problem? Any input? Thanks a lot guys.

ATTNAvoid Cars International Car Wash

Hi Guys,

Ok today my Gf's mom Merc Cdi was send to Cars Car Wash for a routine car wash at jusco Cheras Selatan. When they came back to pick up the car they were were greeted by the sight of a damaged rear bumper. The driver(worker at cars) claimed when he was reversing, a *unknown* car came from behind and knock into him and fled afterwards. No details of what type of car or color of the car just that the other car fled the scene.

One question, Jusco does not have CCTV? Secondly, judging from the impact damage it looks more like he reversed into a wall or pillar than a car knocking into him.

The manager came and offered to repair the bumper but he only offered a second hand bumper. He also refuse to compensate in terms of cash and said he can only fix the car next monday. My Gf's mom refuse outright and demanded new parts, it's unfair for their fault that she has to settle for some inferior second hand bumper. Their story of a phantom car was not convincing at all as no further details was given.

My dear forumers, please give some advise pertaining to this case.
1 .Should my Gf's mom accept the offer?
2. Report police?
3. Seek tribunal intervention?
4. Civil lawsuit?

Thank you very much for reading. All advise is welcome. Will appreciate comments in a constructive manner.

My Gf's mom has accepted the offer for a second hand bumper due to fear that they wont repair it if the case prolongs. They have come to an agreement to repair the car tomorrow.

Car stalling

Hi Guys,

Ok my problem is I bought a Daewoo Lanos year 1992 in Australia. It's a manual. I bought it during summer, now the weather is getting cold and my car is stalling during cold starts. If I left it idling it's alright only when i start to release the clutch that the car stalls even I give it a lot of gas. I tried googling for answers but their usual problem is stalling right away when it's cold, as I mention it's only stalling when i release the clutch even I gave it lots of gas. The car behaves amicably when in summer only recently the weather is changing and temperature could drop to 3c in the night that i notice the car stalling. I tried releasing the clutch slowly with lots of gas still same. My current solution is slipping the clutch by depressing the clutch half way and giving it lots of gas till the car warms up then the problem disappears.

Could it be the engine oil, but the engine idles fine during cold? Or something is creeping up that is not related to the thickness of the oil. Any inside would be appreciated. Thanks

Cold start problem

Hi guys, recently my car is like stalling after cold start. The problem happens only when the engine is started cold after one night or raining, when its warm there is no problem.
Problem is once started the car idle fine but after the temperature climbs to second bar the car will start to stall jerking but wont completely stall after awhile the car is fine like normal.
Problem started happening after i relocate my o2 sensor in 421 to the last joint pipe.
Could it be a o2 sensor problem or its just a coincident?

Proton Warranty Claim

Hi guys,
Im kinda baffle by proton service centre reply to me, as a standard procedure for warranty claim usually they will take down your particular and phone number and put in a booking for the parts that need replacing, i have done countless warranty claim without any problem till one day the usual manager that i deal with all the time was not in and is replace by this fat manager. My problem is my IAFM has been replace before and i told him i want to do a second claim as my this IAFM is spoilt again, he then say no stock and i have to wait for a very long time which i response i don't mind waiting since im on holiday for two months, just book me a unit and i will be on my way, to my surprise he refuse to put in a booking for the part and told me to call in periodically instead to check if there is stock, as i understand the standard procedure is they will book the part and when it has arrive they will call me and when i confronted him about this issue he told me for second claims no need any booking and he even got the guts to tell me not to disturb them so often, if i wanted call , call them like two months once don't rush them. I told them i will go glenmarie instead which he snap back saying there also no stock don't bother to go. But to my understanding one of my club member just replace a unit over at glenmarie and he only waited like 1 week for the part.

Ok cutting things short, is it standard procedure for proton not to put in any form of writing whatsoever for second claim? I thought they would have to order the part and call me and i would have a receipt inhand for the claim? Why do i have to call them? I doubt they ordered anything for me,in my own opinion the manager lazy layan me when the manager say no need to book for the part, the mechs there which im quite close to also look baffled but they kept quiet as the manager was there.

Out of phase issue

Hi guys, i recently wired up my car's audio system, everything went fine till i notice after the B pillar the bass from the sub is not there as if there's a void i can only hear treble and there is virtually no bass, but once i move a little bit back i can hear the bass again. I just want to ask is it my front speaker's out of phase or the rear speakers? I was thinking to flip my sub's polarity but i scare flip already then it cancels with my rear speaker pula. all help is appreciated.

P/s if im seating at the back seat i can almost hear full spectrum but once i seat in the driver seat located at the B pillar i can only hear high frequencies and no bass. SO i suspect is front speakers out of phase.

Demo on hot wiring a car(Educational)

For those who doubt me for using paper clip to disable alarm and starting a car with paper clip, heres a video to show you how its done. See the two paper clip i had already put into the socket, its actually turning the ignition to "on" just like turning your key to "on" so that all accessories is working like power windows and etc, to disable the alarm the thief would just need to do the same thing and press the alarm disable switch without the key. I demo this using my own car a Proton Saga Blm, i had already disabled my immobilizer before doing this demo. This technique will not work on cars with immobilizer.

I did this video due to overwhelming response of people asking about alarm and security in LYN and BLMCLUB forum, this video will be an eye opener to all that alarm is not sufficient to keep the car safe from thiefs and it wont act as a deterrent as it's easily disabled.

Brake locking

Hey guys i was wondering that brake force could be distributed???Like 70% front 30% back??? My car always have wheel lock whenever step on the brakes. I suspect the front brake too makan already is that the case? I already had few misses when my car skidded(AT LOW SPEEDS). I didt fully step on the brake normal braking can cause wheel lock up.
