Assuming what he announced is valid i.e. there will be no more oil price increase till next year, do you think this is a good move? Is the earlier announcement i.e. to float the oil price by giving 30 cents discount below market value a better move? <br /><br />According to the government, the promise to NOT increase the price till the end of the year is aimed at letting the Rakyat more time to adjust to the effect of oil price increase. With oil price expected to increase to USD200 per barrel, it almost seem unavoidable that they will have to increase the price again next year. The question is, by holding off the price increase till next year, will the Rakyat be able to adjust to another RM0.80 - RM1-like increase?
