In addition to coal mining 'expertise' and some patchy English, Platinum Eden can now add AGES2016 to their list of achievements. DNA tried to contact the company via the phone, fax and email listed on their website. According to telephone and broadband provider, Time dotCom, the phone is now disconnected. At the time of publication, DNA has received no response to its emails as well.

But we did get a message from the event management agency for AGES2016, Friends Worldwide. "Friends Worldwide acts only as the event manager for AGES2016 and not the party responsible to disburse the prize pool money. The organiser and endorser for this event are Platinum Eden Sdn Bhd and ESM respectively. We are truly sorry for this inconvenience, however rest assured the organisers are working hard to fulfil their commitments to all affected players."

DNA contacted ESM about AGES2016 and the missing money. Rinie Ramli, the Secretary General of ESM replied via email that ESM is "currently waiting for the latest status from the organiser Platinum Eden Sdn Bhd. We will keep you updated once we receive it. While waiting we have launched an official form to compile all reports from the winners as evidence for further action if needed."

Our further queries on what 'action' ESM planned to take against Platinum Eden have not yet been answered.

Malaysia Cyber Games 2015 akan berlangsung pada 11-13 Disember ini di Stadium Malawati, Shah Alam di mana wang tunai sebanyak RM 300,000 menjadi rebutan pasukan yang bertanding. Setakat semalam, sebanyak 307 pasukan semenanjung, 85 Sabah & Sarawak telah mendaftar bagi kategori Dota 2. Ini merupakan penyertaan pasukan pertandingan Dota 2 yang terbanyak di Malaysia.

Fifa 16 telah mencatakan lebih 500 pendaftaran dan 221 pemain telah mengesahkan pendaftaran mereka. Bagi acara CSGO pula, 32 pasukan telah mendaftar dan mengesahkan penyertaan mereka. Terdapat banyak permintaan untuk menambah bilangan pasukan bagi CSGO dan perkara ini masih di dalam pertimbangan pihak penganjur. Ultra Stree Fighter IV pula mencatat penyertaan sebanyak 27 pemain.

Selain itu, Pihak penganjur juga telah membuka tiket percuma kepada sesiapa yang berminat untuk menyaksikan Malaysia Cyber Games. Dikhabarkan, akan ada pemain-pemain dari luar negara yang akan dijemput bagi memeriahkan lagi pertandingan ini. Setakat ini, tiada maklumat terperincin mengenai siapakah pemain yang akan hadir ke stadium pada 11-13 Disember ini

Peringkat kelayakkan bagi Sabah & Sarawak akan bermula pada hujung minggu ini. 4 pasukan terbaik akan ditaja untuk ke Shah Alam bagi menyertai peringkat utama Dota 2. Ini merupakan pertandingan Dota 2 tempatan pertama yang menaja pasukan Sabah & Sarawak ke peringkat akhir.

The Malaysia Cyber Games is the first ever national gaming festival to boost the growth
of e-sports in Malaysia. This event is endorsed and supported by the Ministry of
Communication and Media in hopes of giving the youth a platform to hone their skills
and be on par with the rest of the world.

The main objective of the event is to and and develop local talent as our young gamers
have been overlooked. The winners will be announced as the official Taring team, this
will grant them access to ?nancial backing in order for them to pursue their dreams to
one day be called “The Best in the World” and help raise the Malaysian flag.

Ex Arrow Ban Lifted

Ex Arrow or known as Redemption released a statement in their fan page regarding their ban in Beyond the Summit tournament. The 1 year ban period have already passed and today their ban has been lifted. Redemption will return to the competitive scene and rejoining all Beyond the summit tournament in the future such as BTS Sea and The Summit series.

Redemption Statement

The first piece of good news we had for months - Beyond The Summit has lifted their ban on the team, hence, starting from today, we will be able to participate in their tournaments. We'd like to thank GoDz, LD and all of the BTS staff for giving us the chance.

We hope all the players have learn their lesson and avoiding any 322 case in the future.

Mountain Dew telah mengumumkan pertandingan "Mountain Dew - Dew Challenge Amateur Dota 2 Tour" bagi pasukan-pasukan amateur di Malaysia dengan hadiah wang tunai RM 150,000. Ini merupakan pertandingan amateur terbesar yang pernah dianjurkan di Malaysia

Pertandingan ini bermula dengan peringkat kelayakkan yang terbahagi kepada dua iaitu terbuka dan peringkat kolej/universiti. Kelayakkan terbuka akan diadakan di 5 negeri iaitu:-

Pulau Pinang di Dot C.C pada Oktober 17-18
Kuantan di WOC Net Cafe pada Oktober 31-November 1
Kuala Lumpur di Orange eSports pada November 7-8
Johor Bahru di King Surf pada November 14-15
Selangor di Invasion pada November 21-22

Bagi peringkat Universiti, 128 pasukan daripada 16 kolej dan universiti seluruh negara dijangkakan akan menyertai pertandingan ini. Tarikh dan lokasi masih belum diketahui dan akan diumumkan kelak oleh pihak penganjur

28 pasukan terbaik daripada pusingan kelayakkan akan bersaing di peringkat kumpulan pada 4 Disember 2015 dan 8 pasukan amateur terbaik di Malaysia akan berentap di pentas final pada 5-6 Disember 2015. Lokasi peringkat final akan diadakan di Kuala Lumpur dan tempat akan diumumkan oleh pihak penganjur kelak.
