Aircon Head Unit and Compressor

Hi guys, dont know whether this is the right place to ask but here goes my question.

I have this old aircon unit at my house that look unattractive to today's standard. Since I am a cheapskate, can I just change the head unit but use the old compressor ?

I know aircon usually sell with the compressor, let say I can get the head unit only can I use it??
