I have something to ask. This is regarding resignation and salary.

I have tender a 1 month resignation starting 19/9/2007. In my termination letter i inform that i will be coming to office until 2/10/2007 and the rest of my working day will be deducted from balance of my annual leave. This was because they will not compensate the balance of my annual leave with money/payment/cash. There was a verbal agreement acknowledge about it among me and HR. They event calculated how much i should be getting for the balance of salary. Beside that, I'm quite sure i should be getting it. End of September, i received my paycheck for 1/9/2007 - 2/10/2007 after battling through some unwanted issues.

Just a few days ago i email the HR asking about the balance of salary(from 3/10/2007 until 19/10/2007) that i thought I'm entitled to get. There were no issue at first and got reply about my check was ready to be collected,notified through an email from HR with CC to manager and MD. Around 4pm i got a called from the HR. She mention that i am not entitled to get the salary. The reason was:

1) I didn't work for the whole month because my last day was on 2/10/2007(Because they wont compensate my annual leave)
2) My working days were deducted from my annual leave (Since they wont pay so i used my annual leave)

And what more i heard from someone who had discussion face to face with HR, that i was supposed to tender 3 months resignation notice. Since they had let me go early(1 month notice), i should not be entitled to get that balance of salary. This 3 months resignation notice policies was not stated anywhere in my employment letter nor in any company policies that i heard/know off. But after 10-15 minutes she email me back stating that she will try to release my check (which should have been ready to be collect but was hold by divine intervention of manager who still irritated with me resigning from the company) tomorrow and the mean time, the HR will get info from consultant of Gov Human Resource regarding this matter.

I'm confused about this HR. Don't they supposed to be able to make decision about HR related matter without interference from other? It was going well until the intervention(i only assume due to the fact last month my paycheck was delayed by his order) of the manager.

So my question is should or should not i be paid for the period i had mention (3/10/2007 until 19/10/2007)? And what can i do if they suddenly refuse to release the check or just trying to make me wait my payment longer because i had unintentionally irritated the oh-so-godly-and-knowledgeable-technical manager?

Hi,

Im gonna be going to Viewnet to RMA my DFI mobo. So wanna asked what do i have to bring other than the mobo and receipt? Do i need to give all including box and stuff? I never RMA anything before FYI.

Also i would like opinion/view/suggestion if i can RMA direct from distributor or somebody to avoid having to wait 2-3months of RMA process.
