Non Pro vs Pro

Hi peeps,
i'm planning to buy a macbook to do my design works and some video editing.
I'm kinda confused whether the new 13inch macbook pro graphic card (on board intel hd graphic card) is sufficient to do after effects,premiere,FCP,3D software?
how is the performance.
an alternative for me would be to get the used macbook white 2009/2010 (which has the dedicated graphic card) or the macbook pro 2010/2009, cause its cheaper within my budget range.

what do you guys think?

NTFS vs FAT32

Hi guys...i know the topic title is very old and cab be solved just by googling and decide that NTFS is better.but here is my problem(dilemma)...
a few months ago i posted about installing and XP into a laptop that does not have a working cd rom,but has a floppy.the laptop can't boot into usb too.
so anyway,i waited for help here in lyn.net,but no one can help me that time.but its ok now coz i looked everywhere in google.
So....,i finally found a way to install xp into the laptop.before this i found out that i make a bootdisk that goes to dos that can detect external cd rom.but after i made the bootdisk,it didnt detect my external cd rom.there must be some problem that must be corrected inside the bootdisk files. So since i dont understand much,i kept on looking for other ways.

THEN i found the answer!!so what i did was i took out the hdd from my laptop, put it in my external hdd case, plugged it in my pc.i format the hdd and set it as FAT32.the reason i choose fat32 because i will install xp on the laptop by booting into a windows98 bootdisk.and windows 98 bootdisk only detects FAT32.
so after i format into FAT32,i copied the folder I386 from the XP CD.then i put it back in my laptop and boot into the windows 98 bootdisk.and thank god it all works.
it started installing and everything, got some problem where it says it cant copy some files.but i continued anyway.
THEN,there's the part where the XP asks me whether i want to use NTFS or maintain the old partition.i chose the old partition because i wasnt sure because all i know is that this installation setup runs from the HDD...so i was afraid if i choose to convert to NTFS it will spoil the setup installation. So thats why i chose to still use FAT32.
so it all finishes and everything worked well, goes into XP and all.

so my dilemma is......i know that NTFS is much much better that FAT32...thats why i'm still not satisfied with the XP installation.....so what i want to ask is:
1.how do i change from fat32 to ntfs?can i just change it from windows explorer or partition magic or what?or do i have to redo all the installation again and choose NTFS when it asks me(really need advice from anybody that had this exact experience before)?
2.i heard that if i convert from fat32 to ntfs is not as better than formatting directly to ntfs.

so what do you guys think?can you give any advice if you had any experience for this prob?

thanks a lot guys and sorry for the lllllllOOooong post...just wanted to explain you guys first...

2 problems need your help

Hi all...really need your help on these problems.

1. Formatting and Intalling XP onto Laptop

so here's the story (hehehe).the laptop is an old laptop.the bios doesnt support booting thru USB and the cd-rom is rosak already.so what i did was i took out the hdd and put it into my external casing.then i plugged it into my PC and formatted the hdd in the external casing.i did this because i thought i can install the hdd in the external by booting up the xp cd. turns out after i boot the cd (thru my pc) it detected the hdd external but when i choose the hdd partition, then it says i cant install xp on it.

i tried looking in the internet ( google etc).i found one suggesting to use a USB dos.i tried one.i downloaded it then made the usb dos diskette.but i hangs.i doesnt work.so i dont know what else to do.

so do you guys have any ideas how to install xp onto this hdd which will later i be putting back into the laptop.again, the laptop doesnt support booting thru usb.i have an external cd-rom but still i cant boot to read the xp cd in the external cd-rom.

please help me...

2.wireless router
okay i got this Dlink DIR-300 wireless router.i bought in february.still quite new.nature strucks again.the modem n router was turned off but the cable was still plugged in.but the lightning still struck it.so the modem is out, then had the streamyx ppl replaced it.now its ok.but now the prob is the wireless router.i thought the router wasnt affected.but i need your experience in detecting it.
heres the prob;
a.i logged into the device webpage to set it up.the weird thing is the password of the streamyx account.the password is 8 digits, but in the setting i counted there are 10 digits.i tried resetting the router, then applied a new setting.i just dont know why, after i typed 8 digits,it becomes 10.then i checked the status, the router basically is not connected. so what i mean..is this because of the lightning or maybe the firmware?

b.i plugged the lan cable into the ports.but in port 1 and 2,my pc still says the cable is unplugged.but when i put it in port 3 and 4,my pc then says the cable is plugged. the weird thing is the port 2 lamp is always on evethough the cable is not it there. so does this mean the port 1 and 2 is burnt already?

hmm ya i think thats all the problems..
sorry guys,if its too long.really need your help and experience.

thanks,muchos gracias.
