            <title>Disposing old Textbooks</title>

            <description>I&amp;#39;m curious , what do you guys do with your old uni textbooks ?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I know the answer to sell but these are really old textbooks ( i was in the IT field) , circa 2000 - 2004 and with the exception of my Cisco books , i doubt even libraries want them.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Else i guess it&amp;#39;s off the dump with them.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Any ideas ?</description>

            <title>Mandarin Courses</title>

            <description>/K/ ,&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Questions , any of you know any courses where a non-native speaker can attend to learn how to speak basic mandarin ? &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I came across one &amp;quot;http://www.globalhanyu.com/msia/eng/learn_mandarin/GHCC_brochure.pdf.pdf&amp;quot; , 50 hour course for rm1500 but was wondering if anyone here have any better recommendation.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I&amp;#39;m slowly learning basics from my colleagues but it&amp;#39;s for basic greetings. i&amp;#39;d also like to attend a course for this.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Need to see if i can master as much as possible in 5 months before a project starts and i&amp;#39;ll be flying to Shanghai for a few months.</description>

            <title>Problems with Malaysian Police</title>

            <description>/K/ , &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;My car got broken into at Tesco Mutiara Damansara today , had a few items stolen and my window smashed (sadly a 2 other cars next to me were broken into as well). Lodge a report with Tesco&amp;#39;s management , took some pics and off i went to make a police report.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Went to the nearest Balai Police , i was greeted with this landwhale who , even before i could explain the situation straight away told me , &amp;quot;System sudah rosak , kena pergi Balai lain , 2 hari tak jalan&amp;quot;.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Sarcastically i remarked that it was pointless having the place opened since no work was being done , no response. So off i went to the Police Station in BU8.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This was the best, when explaining my case , first thing he ask was &amp;quot; Ini untuk insurance or saja saja mau claim&amp;quot; ?&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Annoyed , i asked him , there&amp;#39;s such a thing as saja-saja ? Dude responded &amp;quot;Kalau insurance , you buat report , kasi kertas kat insurance office&amp;quot;.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So i asked , what about fingerprints ? Isn&amp;#39;t he interested in gathering evidence , or at least , even taking a photo or something ? It&amp;#39;s like they&amp;#39;re not even interested in solving the case. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I pressed the issue and all i got was &amp;quot;Apa boleh buat , bukan you cerdera pun , mau sibuk apasal&amp;quot;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Can you BEAT THAT ? &amp;#33;&amp;#33; Now , i&amp;#39;m raging , and i wanna make a complaint.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Question is :&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;To who ? And would it have any effect ?</description>

            <title>Workout program construction ideas</title>

            <description>Inb4 read sticky. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Hopefully this is unique enough of a situation to have it&amp;#39;s own topic. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In a nutshell , i&amp;#39;m coming back from a shoulder impingement injury so i tried working out and find that the nagging pain is still there (minor tho).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;What would you recommend in this case ? A fullbody routine or should i stick with an upper/lower split ? Personally , i&amp;#39;m working on my scap after reading a few articles on how impingements are caused by a weak scapular.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Recommendations people ?</description>

            <description>Started of a really fat person last September , joined a gym in January with the purpose of losing weight and managed the following : (via FF&amp;#39;s Tanita. Height is 1.65m)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;                         January 2011            September 2011&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Weight                80kg                         63kg&lt;br /&gt;Fat %                  30%                         18.9%&lt;br /&gt;Fat (kg)               24kg                         12kg&lt;br /&gt;Fat Free Mass       56kg                         51.5kg (Bad i know , i lost a lot of this)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;It could&amp;#39;ve been faster / better but being a total newbie and lack of discipline when it comes to diet it&amp;#39;s isn&amp;#39;t as bad as i thought.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Now , on to my new goal (the purpose of starting this Journal anyway) is to gain mass. One problem with losing weight is that i ended up being the epitome of a SKINNY-FAT (my bloody genetics suck &lt;!--emo&amp;:(--&gt;&lt;img src='http://static.lowyat.net/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' /&gt;&lt;!--endemo--&gt; ). Small arms and a fat belly. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Do hope for some critique on my routine. I&amp;#39;ve chose 5/3/1 workout since i can easily adapt / fit to it based on my schedule / equipment availability. E.g i can also bring forward / backup a day if i have to work late nights or standby as opposed to SS which requires the alternate day workout schedule.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;My Workout :&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;u&gt;Bench Day&lt;/u&gt; &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Barbell Bench Press (5/3/1)&lt;br /&gt;DB Bench Press 5x10 &lt;br /&gt;DB Rows 3x12&lt;br /&gt;BB Row or Seated Cable Row (depends on Cable Row machine availability)&lt;br /&gt;BW Pushups&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;u&gt;Squat Day&lt;/u&gt; &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Barbell Squat (5/3/1)&lt;br /&gt;BB Squat 5x10&lt;br /&gt;Hanging Knee Raise 3xfailure (would like to progress to the Hanging Leg Raise or V-up but still ..)&lt;br /&gt;Weighted Ab Crunch machine (if i&amp;#39;m not fatigued by the above)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;u&gt;Overhead Press day&lt;/u&gt; &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Barbell OHP (5/3/1)&lt;br /&gt;DB Shoulder Press&lt;br /&gt;Pullups (Still using the machines but my goal is do be able to do a BW pullup)&lt;br /&gt;Lat Pulldown&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;u&gt;Deadlift Day&lt;/u&gt; &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Deadlift (5/3/1)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;** Seriously guys i have no idea what to do for DL days. Should i treat it as a lower body day ? **&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;==================================================================================&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Any criticism is welcome so i can fine tune this. I&amp;#39;e gone through my bench and Squat day and will post the workout updates soon.
