Megaupload, Filesonic, is GONE

I don't know about you, but I am worried about where the internet is going. The internet has been my life for the last 12 years, it was once a free land for the many. Since Megaupload's demise by the US government and the FBI, all sorts of sharing websites have been shutting down.

In short:
THIS IS NOT A FREE INTERNET ANY MORE!!!

Ok, so they shut down "illegal" file sharing websites. Fine, you may side with the FBI on this one, but what next? Soon they'll have control over what's shared and what's not, they'll control payments over the internet? They already got Wikileaks' Julian Assange in prison with NO charges held against him. They're trying to extradite a British student to the US for LINKING to movies.

Facebook and Google have so much of our details, what if the FBI/US government get hold of this, Big Brother, 1984. I am the LAST person to be a paranoid conspiracy theorist, but I feel like this is the first REAL strangle hold on the internet.

What are WE going to do? Let the US government continue to regulate and control the internet? Let the US government censor the content published on the internet?
