[WTB] Dell G3 15 ESC Key Replacement

Hi,

I'm looking for replacement for ESC key, laptop model G3 15. It's missing a rubber cup, as per image below:

So far, the only one I found was from Dell G3 15 Keyboard Key Replacement (Blue), which provide the key, the hinge, and the rubber cup. Total cost would be RM60 including shipping. But the shipping takes roughly 20 days. And I still have the key and the hinge, just not the rubber cup (where can I get it, preferably in Cyberjaya/Putrajaya/Puchong area?)

I'm wondering if anyone in have the stock, hence I don't need to wait up to 20 days to fix it.

Anyone?

Two front pages were torn, courtesy of my brother's curious yet lovable cats. But the two pages are simply filled with praises and reviews of the book. The rest, from the introduction to the ending, remains intact.

Weathered, with folded sides marking where they were once bookmarks. Slight crinkles with age, since I read it while waiting for the bus, waiting for food, in between work breaks.

Doodled, because even if my mouth were not moving, my hand itched to draw and color, especially on white (almost) blank papers. This makes it the 'loudest' Quiet book. Perhaps even one of a kind.

Reason for giving away:

It is in need of a home beside someone who can benefit from reading it. Right now it is alternating between my bed or my study table, as my book rack is filled with other books I haven't read yet (that's what happens when we live near Book Xcess). I'm not sure if I should donate it, because while I think it's doodled and weathered, others might consider it invalid for donation as being vandalised, and cannot be re-sell or swapped. Worse, it might end up in the recycle or incinerator while they filter the donated books.

So I want to see if there's someone willing to 'adopt' this book first. You'll learn and contemplate a lot about a person's character by reading this book. And perhaps, you'll learn a bit about yourself along the way.

I'm thinking to buy an apartment in Cyberjaya, as I see that I may be staying here long-term (min. 3 years, but possibly 10 years), so buying might be a better investment than renting. My current salary is RM2300 minus KWSP. I saw some auction properties that priced about RM200k below, would that be affordable for those in my salary? To note, I already have ASB loan and PTPTN loan commitments.

I don't know where else to ask this, so I ask here.

Recently I bought an Oukitel K4000, Android version 5.1 ( it was a flash sale, got it for RM300). When I use it with a flip pouch, at the transparent part, it shows this:

Anyone knows how to change it to English? So far I have tried changing 'Language and Input' to English (United States), but it still shows in (Mandarin?) language.

I've updated the phone OTA, but still appears that way.

What Problem Is This?

Hi all,

When I opened my laptop.to do assignment, this happen:

It continued for about an hour and I restarted. When restart, it is still like that. My question is:

1. Is it a motherboard problem or a screen problem?

-some say motherboard, but I noticed the hue/tone/color of the screen changes from white to darker white or greenish white when I key in my password and press enter. If motherboard is the problem, would that be possible?

2. How much do you estimate it needed to repair, or is it okay for me to repair myself ( if possible, share a guide or video on how to repair)?

- I asked at Giant Kelana Jaya, they said if repair motherboard, it will be RM280. Is it possible to get repairs around RM150?

My laptop is an old model, Sony VAIOVPCEA35FG I3-370 . I don't have a car, but do not mind to take LRT.

Upgrading Netbook RAM

Dear Lowyatians,

I have a netbook , HP Mini 210-1000, which I will be using for continuing my studies. It has Intel Atom with 1gb ddr2 RAM. Currently a bit frustrated as when I open Chrome or Microsoft Office, the memory usage are high and has the tendency to hang.

I don't have RM500++ to buy a laptop, but I could afford RM100 and less ( found a winnova 2gb ddr2 RAM 800Mhz for RM75).

What I would like to know is that if I upgrade from 1gb to 2gb for this netbook, will it affect the performance significantly, slightly, or would not make any difference? Basically, is it worth it, or should I just bear it?

Will be using it for documents like Word and Excel, web browsing, and occasionally Youtube, Facebook, etc.

Any help and suggestions appreciated.

[Solved]Restore Backup after Reformat

Hi,

I've sent my laptop since the bluetooth is not working. According to the technician, the problem is my Windows is corrupted, I need to reformat. That's fine with me, but I want to backup all my installed software since they took a long and torturous time to install. I backed up.

My question is: If I reformat with reinstall working drivers, and then restore my previous backup, would the reformat and installation of the working drivers got affected ( i.e. the working drivers are replaced with corrupted drivers in the restore)?

If yes, is there another way for me to backup my data except the drivers, and restore them in a way that puts back the backup data at the same time keeps the re-instaled drivers from the reformatting?

our small office is searching for laptops, each max. budget RM1500, thus total RM3000 ( that's really our budget). Preferably pre-installed with Windows ( doesn't matter Windows 7 or 8) and Microsoft Office ( or at least have PWP).

Min Basics we need:

I've joined a new startup company. Including me, we have 5 staffs. My employer's not sure to put me under Internship, Apprentice, or Part-time - can't be full-time as I expect to continue my studies next year-. She was thinking of applying Apprenticeship Scheme or put me as intern.

The thing is, we don't know what qualifies as internship/ apprenticeship, or we would still need EPF and SOCSO?

Any help? As we're currently only 5 person, we're multitasking and don't have a permanent HR /or person with HR knowledge. Our staff's salary/allowance are RM1000 each. Is it still qualified as intern?

I got some old phones I no longer use. I read somewhere that it's dangerous to throw away cellphones with other trash, but I don't know what to do with them. I thought of going to recycle centers, but either they are closed or no longer functioning. I'm not sure whether they are sellable for trade-in, as I don't know how to estimate, and judging by their conditions, I'm not sure they are fit for trade-ins. Suggestions?
