Recently, uncle finally bought an Axia Rahmah (one of the last remaining stock).

The plate number is 8477 (automatically generated by JPJ?) and my relatives said this number is bad luck.

How so?

Just because the plate has number 4?

UK Government to make “plug-in solar” available

https://www.gov.uk/government/news/governme...e-within-months
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/czjw7klkjm2o

Press release
Government to make “plug-in solar” available within months

“Plug-in” solar panels to be in shops within months, offering households chance to significantly cut energy bills.

More households will be helped to save money on bills through plug-in solar panels as the government vows to go further and faster on clean energy in response to conflict in the Middle East.

The current conflict is yet another reminder that the only route to energy security and sovereignty for the UK is to end dependence on fossil fuel markets and accelerate the drive for clean, homegrown power, as well as new renewables and nuclear.

Already the government has taken significant steps in speeding up the move to clean energy in response to the conflict. Last week, the government’s annual renewables auction was brought forward to July. The most recent auction was the biggest ever and alongside the previous auction, enough clean energy to power 23 million homes has been confirmed.

Today, the government is driving forward with the rollout of “plug-in” solar panels (low-cost panels that families can put on their balconies or outdoor space) to be available in shops within months and save people money on their bills.

Retailers like Lidl and Amazon, alongside manufacturers such as EcoFlow, are working with government to enable them to be brought to the UK market.

Plug-in solar is already widely used by households across Europe, with Germany seeing around half a million new devices plugged in per year.
The free solar power can be used directly through a mains socket like any other device, without an installation cost, thereby reducing the amount of electricity taken from the grid and cutting energy bills.

The easy-to-install technology could save many households significant amounts on their energy bills and help make the UK less reliant on global fossil fuel markets.

The government has taken decisive action in response to the conflict in the Middle East to fight for consumers and businesses on the cost of living, and is speeding up plans for more clean, homegrown energy that the UK controls to ensure energy sovereignty and security.

This is alongside new rules coming into force today implementing the Future Homes Standard, which includes common-sense measures to ensure the majority of new homes are built cheaper to run, with solar panels and clean heating as standard.

These measures on new homes could save families up to £830 a year on their energy bills, compared to a standard home with an EPC rating of C. This will ensure they are more comfortable and affordable – and create at least 75% less carbon emissions than those built to the 2013 standards.

So.....when will Malaysia allow balcony solar?

China Curbs Fertiliser Exports

https://codeblue.galencentre.org/2026/03/ch...ed-fertilisers/

China Curbs Fertiliser Exports, Chinese Supplies Comprise Third Of Malaysia’s Imported Fertilisers

By CodeBlue | 20 March 2026

China has severely curbed fertiliser exports. China, which is the 2nd highest origin of Malaysia’s fertiliser imports, reportedly supplied a third of Malaysia’s fertiliser imports in 2025. Malaysia’s local fertiliser market is also warning of disruptions.

KUALA LUMPUR, March 20 — China has reportedly restricted fertiliser exports amid the Iran conflict, which is likely to hit Malaysia hard because China is among the top source countries for Malaysia’s imported fertilisers.

According to international newswire Reuters, which reported the export ban, fertiliser shipments through the Strait of Hormuz, blocked by the war, comprise roughly one third of the sea-borne supply.

Citing International Trade Centre data, Reuters reported that a third of Malaysia’s fertiliser imports came from China last year.

Between half and three quarters of Chinese fertiliser exports overall last year are now restricted, Reuters reported, potentially up to 40 million tonnes. China is among the world’s largest fertiliser exporters.

According to data from the OEC portal, Malaysia imported RM5.69 billion worth of fertilisers in 2025. The main origins of Malaysia’s fertiliser imports are Russia (RM1.65 billion), China (RM1.35 billion), and Canada (RM653 million).

Malaysia is a net fertiliser importer, having imported RM5.69 billion and exported RM3.75 billion last year.

In a statement yesterday, the Fertiliser Industry Association of Malaysia (FIAM) warned of sustained cost escalation, supply rationing, and operational delays in the plantation and agriculture sectors, as a prolonged West Asia conflict could lead to severe disruptions in the Malaysian fertiliser market.

Bernama reported FIAM as saying that the West Asia region is a major supplier of natural gas, urea, ammonia, and sulphur – key materials for the global production of fertilisers.

Malaysian fertiliser producers like Union Harvest and FGV Fertiliser have halted new orders, as some raw materials reportedly increased by 100 per cent to 150 per cent in prices within a fortnight.

In his Hari Raya message today, Agriculture and Food Security Minister Mohamad Sabu acknowledged that the Persian Gulf conflict likely won’t end soon.

He noted that as oil and gas prices rise, logistics costs surge and the prices of fertiliser and global food commodities are also affected.

“What happens thousands of kilometres away can still be felt in the kitchens of Malaysian households,” Mohamad wrote on Facebook.

“Many analysts, both local and international, expect that this conflict will not be resolved anytime soon. This means that pressure on global food prices may persist. Therefore, I want to be honest with everyone: prices and the supply situation can change at any time.”

He reassured Malaysians that the country’s food supply was sufficient until May, just over a month away.

“The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, together with all relevant agencies, is monitoring stock levels, prices, and supply chains every day. If there are signs of disruption, we will not wait long,” Mohamad added.

“The government is prepared to take whatever intervention measures are necessary. Our priority is simple: food supplies must always be available in the market and the people must be able to access them.”

CodeBlue previously reported experts as saying that soaring fertiliser prices due to the West Asia conflict could push up the prices of vegetables, rice, chicken and eggs, and flour-based foods in Malaysia. About a third of Malaysia’s fertiliser imports pass through the Strait of Hormuz.

Poultry producers have also warned Malaysians about a potential rise in chicken and egg prices, besides reduced supply, because Malaysia relies heavily on imported feed ingredients, especially corn and soybean meal. Higher fertiliser prices increase the cost of growing feed crops.

Here we go again....

The End of Super Sentai series (Power Ranger)

https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c397rej7dyxo

Japanese series that inspired Power Rangers to end after 50 years - reports
Joel Guinto

A Japanese superhero series that inspired the hugely popular Power Rangers TV and movie franchise from the 1990s is ending after 50 years, local media report.

Super Sentai will go off air as sales from merchandise and events have not been enough to cover production costs, reports say. Its broadcaster TV Asahi declined to comment on "future programming", according to the Asahi newspaper.

The series premiered in 1975 and its formula - five teens who transform into colourful masked fighters to battle aliens - served as the blueprint for Power Rangers in the US and many other superhero shows that aired in Asia.

It also served as a launchpad for the careers of many Japanese actors.

Super Sentai was much more than a TV series. The show that aired weekly was essentially an advertisement for toys, clothes, costumes and collectibles.

For animation and toy fans outside Japan, it served as a gateway to the country's colourful superhero and comic book culture.

Similar shows like Choudenshi Bioman and Hikari Sentai Maskman were dubbed in English and developed cult followings in the Philippines.

In the Super Sentai series, the superhero team, made up of three men and two women, is led by a fighter in a red suit - as in Power Rangers. The rest of team is colour-coded, green or black for the second-in-command, followed by blue, yellow and pink.

Every episode also followed the same sequence - starting with martial arts and swordfights and ending with a battle between their robot spaceship and a giant alien in the end. A large part of its appeal is the live-action animation, which in the 1980s and 1990s bordered on crude.

The original Power Rangers series aired on US TV from 1993 to 1996 and there have been multiple spin-offs. The episodes are now streamed on YouTube.

Producer Haim Saban, who adapted Power Rangers from the Japanese original, said in a 2017 interview with the LA Times that the concept was a tough sell at first.

"Every selling season, I would go out and offer it to the networks - and would get kicked out of the room... They told me how crazy I was," he said.

News of Super Sentai's demise drew sadness from fans and celebrities.

Popular actress Keiko Kitagawa re-posted a news article on the reported cancellation with the caption "despair". Her post on X was viewed 15 million times.

Yasuhisa Furuhara, an actor who played one of the Super Sentai fighters, noted how the series ran for half a century. "I'm proud to be a part of history," he said on X.

One fan on X said his parents had watched Super Sentai when they were children. And that he is watching the current series. "I'll miss it... What a shame."

"Super Sentai is coming to an end, so what should boys watch from now on?" another fan said.

Just like something out of an action movie, security teams from Seagate's Singapore and Malaysian offices, in conjunction with local Malaysian authorities, conducted a raid on a warehouse in May that was engaged in cooking up counterfeit Seagate hard drives, situated outside Kuala Lumpur.

During the raid, authorities reportedly uncovered approximately 700 counterfeit Seagate hard drives, with SMART values that had been reset to facilitate their sale as new. The confiscated batch included several models from Seagate's extensive hard drive range, with capacities reaching up to 18TB. However, Seagate-branded drives were not the only items involved, as authorities also discovered drives from Kioxia and Western Digital.

Seagate suspects that the used hard drives originated from China during the Chia boom. Following the cryptocurrency's downfall, numerous miners sold these used drives to workshops where many were illicitly repurposed to appear new. This bust may represent only the tip of the iceberg, as Heise estimates that at least one million of these Chia drives are circulating, although the exact number that have been recycled remains uncertain.

The clandestine workshop, likely one of many establishments in operation, reportedly employed six workers. Their responsibilities included resetting the hard drives' SMART values, cleaning, relabeling, and repackaging them for distribution and sale via local e-commerce platforms. Occasionally, it's said that workers would upgrade the hard drives to enhance their market value, such as converting a Barracuda into an IronWolf or SkyHawk model.

The modus operandi encompassed all activities from priming the counterfeit hard drives to their sale. In fact, this method led to the apprehension of the suspects. The perpetrators were reportedly marketing these counterfeit hard drives on prominent platforms such as Shopee and Lazada at exceptionally low prices. According to the source, an unidentified Malaysian sales manager flagged the hard drives and subsequently alerted Seagate's security department, which purchased one of the drives and confirmed its fraudulent nature. Seagate collaborated with local law enforcement agencies to trace the goods back to the warehouse, resulting in a subsequent raid. After all, you can't just go kicking in doors on these types of unlawful activities, since criminal syndicates often oversee these scams. It's not something that an average Joe is doing inside a garage or in the backyard at scale.

Due to this unfortunate incident, Seagate has reportedly enhanced its partner program. Partners are now contractually obliged to purchase and resell Seagate hard drives exclusively from authorized Seagate distributors. Additionally, the company has implemented a Global Trade Screening (GTS) process to identify and exclude potentially suspicious suppliers that may be listed on the GTS sanction list.

The counterfeit hard drives were reportedly limited to German-speaking countries. However, there were some user reports from Australia and the U.S. Since we live in a globally connected world, it would be naive to think that none of the counterfeit hard drives made it to the U.S. market. The new discovery that some Kioxia and Western Digital hard drives are also susceptible to fraud means that consumers should exercise extra caution when purchasing a hard drive from non-major retailers, or third-party sellers.

US Is Considering AI Chip Restrictions on Malaysia

https://wccftech.com/the-us-is-considering-...a-and-thailand/
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/202...-china-concerns

US Plans AI Chip Curbs on Malaysia, Thailand Over China Concerns
By Mackenzie Hawkins
July 4, 2025 at 9:58 PM GMT+8

President Donald Trump’s administration plans to restrict shipments of AI chips from the likes of Nvidia Corp. to Malaysia and Thailand, part of an effort to crack down on suspected semiconductor smuggling into China.

A draft rule from the Commerce Department seeks to prevent China — to which the US has effectively banned sales of Nvidia’s advanced AI processors — from obtaining those components through intermediaries in the two Southeast Asian nations, according to people familiar with the matter. The rule is not yet finalized and could still change, said the people, who requested anonymity to discuss private conversations.

Officials plan to pair the Malaysia and Thailand controls with a formal rescission of global curbs from the so-called AI diffusion rule, the people said. That framework from the end of President Joe Biden’s term drew objections from US allies and tech companies, including Nvidia. Washington would maintain semiconductor restrictions targeting China — imposed in 2022 and ramped up several times since — as well as more than 40 other countries covered by a 2023 measure, which Biden officials designed to address smuggling concerns and increase visibility into key markets.

All told, the regulation would mark the first formal step in Trump’s promised overhaul of his predecessor’s AI diffusion approach — after the Commerce Department said in May that it would supplant that Biden rule with its own “bold, inclusive strategy.” But the draft measure is far from a comprehensive replacement, the people said. It doesn’t answer, for example, questions about security conditions for the use of US chips in overseas data centers — a debate with particularly high stakes for the Middle East. It’s unclear whether Trump officials may ultimately regulate AI chip shipments to a wider swath of countries, beyond the Malaysia and Thailand additions.

The Commerce Department didn’t respond to a request for comment. The agency has offered few specifics about its regulatory vision beyond what Secretary Howard Lutnick told lawmakers last month: The US will “allow our allies to buy AI chips, provided they’re run by an approved American data center operator, and the cloud that touches that data center is an approved American operator,” he said during congressional testimony.

Nvidia, the dominant maker of AI chips, declined to comment, while spokespeople for the Thai and Malaysian governments didn’t respond. Nvidia Chief Executive Officer Jensen Huang has previously said there’s “no evidence” of AI chip diversion, in general remarks that didn’t touch on any particular country. In response to earlier Bloomberg queries about curbs focused on smuggling risks, Thailand
said it’s awaiting details, while Malaysia’s Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry said clear and consistent policies are essential for the tech sector.

Washington officials for years have debated which countries should be able to import American AI chips — and under what conditions. On one hand, the world wants Nvidia hardware, and US policymakers want the world to build AI systems using American technology — before China can offer a compelling alternative. On the other, once those semiconductors leave American and allied shores, US officials worry the chips could somehow make their way to China, or that Chinese AI companies could benefit from remote access to data centers outside the Asian country.

Southeast Asia is a key focus. Companies including Oracle Corp. are investing aggressively in data centers in Malaysia, and trade data shows that chip shipments there have surged in recent months. Under pressure from Washington, Malaysian officials have pledged to closely scrutinize those imports, but the Commerce Department’s draft rule indicates the US still has concerns.

Semiconductor sales to Malaysia also are a focal point of a court case in neighboring Singapore, where prosecutors have charged three men with defrauding customers about the ultimate destination of AI servers — originally shipped from the island nation to Malaysia — that may have contained advanced Nvidia chips. (Nvidia is not the subject of Singapore’s investigation and has not been accused of any wrongdoing.)

The export curbs on Malaysia and Thailand would include several measures to ease pressure on companies with significant business operations there, people familiar with the matter said. One provision would allow firms headquartered in the US and a few dozen friendly nations to continue shipping AI chips to both countries, without seeking a license, for a few months after the rule is published, people familiar with the matter said.

The license requirements also would still include certain exemptions to prevent supply chain disruptions, the people said. Many semiconductor companies rely on Southeast Asian facilities for crucial manufacturing steps like packaging, the process of encasing chips for use in devices.

We in deep shit now........

Recently uncle decided to purchase 3 Logitech M331 during 8.8 here ALL.IT.OS

https://shopee.com.my/Logitech-M331-Silent-...9596.1019539111

After reviewing all the comment and pictures at there, uncle bought 3 M331 mices.

To uncle dismay......

[attachmentid=11501056]

Notice the problem? Uncle only received one original M331 and two fake M331. The left most is the original with LED indicator and rubberised sides. The middle and right most side are fake with no LED indicator and any rubber at all, pure plastic.

[attachmentid=11501057]

Even the bottom side is different, the original power switch is at the top, not at the bottom.

Only the original serial number is successfully registered at logitech website while the two fake failed.

Only one has Logitech Unifying functionality and successfully paired with my existing Unifying Receiver. The other two fakes can't do that.

[attachmentid=11501058]
The original M331 has this sticker with M-Link

[attachmentid=11501059]
The two fakes M331 has this sticker with MCL Bhd

Really not happy with this situation. I thought big seller like ALL.IT.OS only sells original goods and moreover, it is Shopee Mall.

[attachmentid=11501060]
[attachmentid=11501061]
Sigh, filled for refund..... RM94.34, assuming if the seller doesn't dispute it.....

edit: apparently, according to some forummer here, there is different hardware revision. Which I am still not satisfied because I don't get the functionality as advertised.
editv2: Lack of advertised "Unifying" functionality and rubberised side. Sigh....

Final edit: Sigh....as per comment from forumers here.....uncle shall cancel refund and accept it as it is.....it just that uncle feels really tired and disappointed with this "new version".

Final edit V2 :
As per recommended by some poster;
ALL IT OS, I apologize for proclaiming those two mices are fake M331, but it doesn't change the fact that the product is different than what being advertised at the store.
Reputable 200A - 250A Busbar M8 stud [Help?]

Recently my solar project hit a roadblock.

My 3 packs batteries in parallel connection have different power being drawn from each pack.
Therefore I would like to opt for busbar connection method to more or less equalise the power drawn from each pack.

Anyone know reputable online sellers that actually sell tinned copper busbar capable of sustaining 200Amp with M8 studs?

I searched shopee and lazada....but the results pointed to questionable products with very thin width/thickness and probably made of brass.

Gigabyte GPU repair option?

Does Gigabyte provide GPU repair service? Not RMA, but repair because the warranty period is over?

I heard "pop" sound, then screen went* black while gaming.
The RTX 3090 GPU LED doesn't even lit up. Took it off and plugged in my ancient GTX 750 Ti to use now.

Tried inserting the RTX 3090 at my second desktop PC and it doesn't show anything on the monitor, GPU LED doesn't lit up as well.
