WiFi speed tanking

I have a DIR850L router from Unifi in my room and I just bought a DIR825+ AC1200 router as an access point upstairs.

I ran a decent length CAT5 cable from my room to the new router.

I able to setup and get Wifi connection but the output is just 20-40mbps while my Ethernet from DIR850L to my room PC is 510mbps.

I know that WiFi speed will never be as fast as being wired but 20-40mbps is a tad bit too low.

I googled abit and read about wifi being 802.11ac / n can make a huge difference but I check both the router also have ac.

Is it possible the mobile device in my house is too old?

2 Huawei Nova 4E (speedtest result 40mbps)
1 Xperia XA Ultra (speedtest result 20-40mbps)
1 Lenovo G50-70 laptop (speedtest result 21mbps)

I connected to my first router's(DIR850L) wifi and ran a speed test, surprisingly it is also giving out 20-30mbps wifi speed.

Did i set something wrong in the wireless setting? I have switch to a less crowded wifi channel and result is the same.

Help me pls all sifus.

I been looking for money changers to exchange my older USD but most smaller kiosks don't accept them as they lack security I think.
But I found out that US is still using these old notes. I just want to change this small amount back to MYR. Anyone know where in Kuala Lumpur area I can change?

Hi guys, I'm not sure if I'm on the right section, but this is an emergency.

I have an ASUS Zenfone 2, last night my phone battery run dry from normal use then when I reach home I plug-in charger and went to bed, I did not notice if the "Charging" light was on or not, but when I check today, there's not light at all as if it never plugged in.

I replug the phone charger and the phone just vibrate twice and nothing happen, I try to turn it on and it does the same thing. Now every 10-15 minute it just vibrate but never turns on. Anyone has experience this before? Anyway to solve this.

Getting a budget gaming PC

I've owned 3 laptops and never a desktop, plan to finally settle for a desktop due to the limit in laptop gaming.

I always like to play open world games and those games nowadays need a good PC to play. I could always play at Low setting at 40fps but I think it's time to upgrade. xD

I'm open to suggestions, my budget is around RM2000.00-.

From what I know is that to stay away from AMD CPUs. But if any of you can talk me into it then I might actually get it since my budget is tight.

I need....well the essentials.

Board
CPU
GPU
Soundcard(?)
DVD Driver
HDD
SSD(?)
Power Supply
and of course can also recommend me a monitor.

High Ping via WiFi

Hi, I am seeking help again, my previous problem was temporarily resolved but after a month, the problem is back.
Please refer to my previous post for the problem I'm talking about.
I hope someone can help me because I called Unifi multiple times and there's nothing they can do other than resetting port.
Whenever the technician come the problem doesn't occur, so I couldn't solve the problem.

I tried using wired connection but I notice even with wired connection....every 10-20 line of reply from 192.168.1.1, which is <1, there will be 1 line which is 100+ ping.

I was using my ASUS High Power router but recently I upgraded my Unifi plan to 30MB and they gave me a new router and modem. I just switched to the new router but the problem still persist.

Both 8.8.8.8 and 192.168.1.1 shows high ping randomly...or sometimes 192.168.1.1 has smooth 5ms pulse but 8.8.8.8 request time out for 5-6 times then goes back to normal...

I try resetting the router and modem, changing channel, upgrading firmware, nothing works.

I hope someone can help me....I'm really really lost.

Hi guys, I'm having problem with my internet connection for the past few months. I tried everything my friends and TM customer service taught me but to no avail.

I bought a new ASUS router couple of months ago thinking it would fix my problem. It's a ASUS RT-N12HP B1. I have set my router configuration to N only, using bandwidth channel 11 so it doesn't clash with my neighbor and all the other small tweaks, but once in a while my internet connection will go haywire.

I can have 2-10ms via -ping at good times, suddenly will spike to 400-1000-2000ms.

My friend told me to monitor my command prompt so I turn on 2 command prompt 1 pinging my router and another pinging 8.8.8.8 Google DNS.

Why so weird???

Then sometimes it just continue to time out and never recover until I restart my router. This is just a small part of the problem. I can't think of the others right now. I will update more info if you guys ask or when I thought about it.

Please give me some feedback guys I really desperate.

MW3 MP Replay Files Location

I'm using Steam to play MW3 and I notice the replays are all in the VAULT. But I don't think they are in my PC, or is it?

[WTA]Economical Gaming Desktop Configuration

Hello there,

Recently I've been addicted to this game called Dead Island, I played it in a cybercafe and got hooked on to it, although it's a little bit creepy.

I'm planning to buy the game and play it at home since playing it in a noisy cafe isn't pleasant at all, especially with smokers and stalkers all over you.

My PC at home is running on Pentium III and I can't even play normal Facebook games on it, so I've saved up around RM2,000.00 to buy a gaming rig.

My maximum budget is RM2,000.00 but if you guys could guide me through and save me a lot more money, that will be great, extras for the CNY clothes.

My queries would be:

What motherboard [brand and model] should I use?
CPU needed.
Graphic cards/processor needed.
Amount of RAM needed.
Good sound card recommendation [I <3 music]

My friend also told me a good power supply is essential for gaming or heavy multi-tasking.

You guys can add-on any recommendations for me, if I like it, I'll buy it.
