I decided to open this topic as it does not seem to be a group for my university yet Hopefully this could be a place for anyone interested in our university to post any question or for anyone to talk about the experience and such.

For now, it seems I am the only one from NUMed but I hope there will be others as well.

Current estimate number of student for 2013/2014

1st year = 141 students
2nd year = ~100 students
3rd year = ~50 students
4th year = ~30 students
5th year = ~20 students

It is just an estimate but it should be close to the real number. Scholar students are around 15-30% depending on the batch.

UK lecturers are around ~30% (most are the main lecturers). Other local lecturers mostly worked in UK hospital (up to 10 years) before coming here to teach us in lectures, seminar or in hospital. 'Critical' lectures like embryology, immunology and a few others are taught by visting Newcastle UK lecturers as they think its best for us to have solid knowledge taught by their best

Training hospital is currently Hospital Sultan Ismail (JB), Hospital Sultanah Aminah (JB), Hospital Batu Pahat, Enche' Besar Hajjah Khalsom (Kluang), Hospital Permai and several Klinik Kesihatan. I heard they are in a process to add more since future batch will be more.
