When o called the bank, I was informed that they will not release any money without the copy of the master fire insurance.<br /><br />Then I called the developer and I was told that they do not know when the fire policy will be ready and said that other banks do not have the same problem as Affin.<br /><br />My question is:<br /><br />A) is it true that the bank needs to have the fire insurance before releasing final loan amount?<br /><br />B) how long does it take for the developer to effect a fire policy?<br /><br />C) can I tell the bank that they are not actually releasing the money directly to the developer but instead to their stakeholder lawyer and the lawyer should be instructed to hold the money until the fire policy is obtain or until any outstanding issues have been cleared ?<br /><br />Hope anyone who has been in the same situation can offer some advice.
