Any different install Linux on ide hdd or sata hdd

My company system using Linux (IBM with ide hdd).
Now I need buy new computer set , unfortunately ide hdd is totally outdated and only computer set with sata hdd available.
Any different if i wan to ghost the new computer set with the existing computer set ?
Existing computer set (IBM with ide hdd) & New computer set (IBM with sata hdd)

Good day.

I am finding way to do HTML authentication.

Which means user need a password to access the web. If possible, I could keep track user information such as when did it log in ...
Will all this can be done by html ? any example or any recommended url for me to reference?

Unable to delete pendrive file

I am using innoDisk flashdrive. But I am not able to delete the file that I save inside.
No matter I add or delete file inside the flashdrive, after I remove and reconnect the flashdrive, it still the same previous file inside.
I also try to format it, but after remove and reconnect the flashdrive, the file still there.

Any solution ?

I already set 3 different user in User Accounts but window will not promt for user password when starting window.

I m using VB & SQL server do a project.
My problem is : In "Member" page, I used comboBox show list of member. Allow to add and delete member list. I have problem of sorting namelist after i delete one of the namelist. I had try to sort my comboBox.

For example, I have 5 record, 1 to 5,
when I click no.2 , it show some record (on textbox that i created) .

I used the command RS.MoveLast
cbosid.Text = RS.Fields("sid").Value + 1

so, if i had 5 namelist already saved, when I refresh the page, it will show no. 6 namelist (to allow add new member).

Problem : I deleted namelist no.2 now (out of 5 namelist), then the combox will show namelist no.6 (new and alllow me to add new namelist). If I add namelist again, the no.6 namelist should be saved and show the new namelist of no.7. Problem occur here, no.6 record had saved but it show again namelist no.6 . After I check, I realize that , because I had deleted namelist no.2, so the namelist no.6 had replace no.2 namelist place, and my comboBox list become 1,6,3,4,5. It suppose to show by sorting list : 1,3,4,5,6

How to solve he problem so that the new namelist no.6 won't replace in namelist no.2 (deleted) and could direct move to last of the combo record. Any effctive way to solve tis problem?

Show comboBox information from database

I want to use VB comboBox showing information from database.
The comboBox showing member name, I just able to do alphanumeric sorting.
How to do , so that when I type first alphanumetic name of member and it will show all the related database.

For example, if I type " s " in the combobox, it will show all the name that start with " s " , without showing other name.

Or , is that any other better solution that allow me to do so without using combobox ?

1.) On a page (mainpage), I want allow user to type "enter" on keyboard without click on the button, how to do that shortcut' ?

2.) I use combobox to show certain information from database. The information that saved in SQL db are many and some was duplicated. Can I show the information without duplicate information ? how?

3.) How to do , if on a page, there are 2 combobox & 1 textbox.
The page allow user to select certain information from combobox, user click on
combobox 1 and combobox2 , after user click on combobox 2, information will show on textbox automatic (from database).

Example : (database)
x y z
1 1 5
1 2 10

SO, if user choose 1 at combo1 and choose 1 at combo2,
the textbox will automatic show 5.

Anyone can help me ?

Did VB6 allow to disable the close button (top of right)?

I want the program limited that user just can close the system only : when user click on the "sign out" button (of course at this time user already in "sign in" status)

CPU keep on showing 100% usage

My cpu usage keep on showing 100% usage although i din open many application. I just open msn, winamp like usual, normally the usage will in the middle range. But, after sometime, pc will become slow and i notice that the usage keep showing 100%. Will it be virus or spyware ?

VB6 - invalid column name

got error while connect to SQl db,
to make it clear :

-click on the combobox, it successfull show my db list
exp: I do for Name list , it show the list of name. But the db that I save must in numerical, if save as alphabet, it prompt error (invalid column name).
So I suspect is SQL problem, but i already double confirm , the datatype of name, i already save as nvarchar .

So, i cant know where the problem from ? someone tell me the problem.

I have question if i done a project using VB6 and SQL, after I finish and compile on .exe file and using on other pc, will problem or error happen? Such as it cant find the directory of my pc. If error will happen, any solution?
Another noob question, after i done the project (SQL as database), user must install SQL right ?

Virtual Memory Low in window XP

Window keep on pop up message "virtual memory low in window XP" , pc become slow and page file usage keep on increasing although i din't open any application software.

I had try follow the step to change my memory size, but the problem still exist.
The step I follow are :
1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
2. Click Performance and Maintenance, and then click System.
3. On the Advanced tab, under Performance, click Settings.
4. On the Advanced tab, under Virtual memory, click Change.

I also use software scan for virus and spyware, problem still exist will it be virus problem? Any else posible problem ?
