3 Phase wiring - joints

Hi,

My house undergoing extensive renovations. This includes all new air cond points and 3 phase concealed wioring, alarm and cctv wiring.
Recently had a break in and thieves stole all the wires and copper tubing...cutting them all off at the exposed Ends - i.e. at the DB Box area and at the plug points etc where the wires come out.

My Wiring con now wants to ADD new wires by JOINING/SPLICING the ends at the DB area and at the Outlets areas...
My Concern is that as of now..EACH and EVERY WIRE has been cut off at 2 ends..and there will be a JOINT/SPLICE at BOTH Ends. Each Air con point will also have to eb hacked and redone with new copper tubing added/spliced and the wires joined/spliced.

Since I have paid top price for this Electrical work..is it fair to me to be given JOINTED WIRES for 100% of the wires..not just one joint but 2 on each wire.

1. I Insist on a Total REHACK and redo with brand new un-jointed wires.
2. I accept the jointed wires..(what discount should i ask for ).

The Break In is 100% Con's responsibility because his workers SOLD off all the old grills gates etc which left the construction Site 100% Open and Exposed to such incident.

Electrical cons please advise..

Thanks.

structure works

Hi Guys,

My contractor quoted me a "Structure works" for a 2.5 storey extension at Rm130 + 30 for each floor. This included footings/foundations/beams/columns and slabs ONLY.

Then he quoted separately for Brickwork/door frames/doors etc . at Rm 25 PSF.

All previous contractors quotes for "structure" included such things as brick walls, frames, doors cement render floor etc.

I have got another quote for all in at Rm100 psf. inclusive of all brickwalls etc.

I want to know if the first quote is correct way. Should all brickwork/doors/frames etc be included in a Structure " quote and not separately. Is the first con trying to pull a fast one on me ?

Earlier also my extension five years ago was Rm88 all in.

Extension at 15 ft by 22 ft .

Thanks
