Article in star biz

4 april 2009 star biz

In letters to the editor

http://biz.thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?f...18&sec=business

"It is also unfortunate that the perception persists that TM has a monopoly of the local broadband industry. Broadband deployment in Malaysia is carried out by wired and wireless operators and many licenses were issued by the Government to cater to this. If service providers made the business decision to focus more on the wireless segment, it should not be held against TM.

It is time for the myth on TM being a “broadband monopoly” to be put to rest." = My perception is that The backbone of ALL internet connections in Malaysia has to go though TM. This means that ALL ISPs are influenced by TMs right? This means TM still has some control or monopoly over other ISPs. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

"On the contrary, TM has always taken and will continue to take customer complaints seriously. We have improved considerably with regards to customer satisfaction and will continue to be customer-centric.

We have over 1.5 million subscribers; legitimate customer complaints account for less than 0.2% (3,000) of total subscribers annually. We are taking great pains to reduce this even further which is exemplified by our allocation of 3% of revenue to enhance the quality of customer service" = TM say we do not complain enough. SO everybody make sure you complain about every single shitty thing about TM. Be a good neighbour, friend and relative and help everyone complain about TM's crappiness.
