Plan to buy a house for long term stay, the house will be only under my wife name. Loan will be under her name.

However, in this case can i withdraw from my account 2 for the initial payment if it's not joint name? or anyway to go around?

Electronic extended warranty

Hi all, want to check if anyone has experience to claim extended warranty for electronic?

I purchase my wasing machine + dryer in TXX with a extended warranty 2+3 @ 2018 march, the machine broke down on December 2021, extended warranty coverage till march 2023.

The extended warranty is under insurance company. So the washing machine is under the insurer panel care since december 2021 until todate, they still unable to fix the washing machine.

The repairer has replace
-PCB board
-Switch heater
-pressure switch
-Display PCB
-Motor Board
-Motor ( Claim to electrolux - as 10years warranty)

the cost of sparepart i paid out of my pocket rm 1875

panel worksop visit my place for 4x and then had to move the machine back to workshop.
I had directly deal with electrolux - in the email, they mention Our team found that the insurer panel repairer has facing the technical difficulty to repair the unit and drag the case by giving the excuses of the spare part claim approve process.

The case file under tribunal court - awaiting date
The repairer doesnt recommended repair and agree to refund the sparepart cost to me, and mention the insurer will proceed with claim
I accept the refund of the sparepart - in the conversation there is not mention of selling of the machine - all conversation done in text

The insurer contact me that they are offering 50% of the sparepart as compensation as it fell under Wear and tear. roughly rm800
Do you guys think it's fair?

Repair - out of own pocket rm 1875 (refund rm1765 - minus labour fee) refund by workshop
Machine unrepairable - insurer company offer rm 800

anyone well verse with the consumer act?
can i demand them to repair my washing machine until it's functioning?
and something fishy is they keep dragging on provide me the repair report, i think i have right to access to the report

Hi, anyone had experience on claiming extended warranty for home application?

My dryer broke down just past 2 year (electrolux only cover 2 year), luckily i had bought extended warranty from TBM for another 3 years.

Initially the case is opened on 6/12/2021 by complaining to TBM and e-warranty2u, case was notified to insurer company Archipelago Group for follow up

Waiting 1 week, no respond, thus i call up the insurer company to clarify, then they ask me to submit all required document. I submitted all the document on the same day, but i didnt receive feedback from them. I follow up again after 5 working days, call up them, they sound no idea about it, the staff IC passing the case around.. say not received anything. Fine, i submit everythign again, and CC to all the "staff" involved, finally received notification that will process it just before new year.

since then, i had no feedback from the insurer company. Contacted TBM, e-warranty2u, they send me proof that they send email to push the insurer company, but i didnt have any feedback yet, they say they supposely to send a technician to check.

anyone had such experience? I ask them to give me a time frame, no one seem able to give me an answer, TBM, ewarranty2u, nor the insurer (archipelago group)
Any body that i can approach to complain the insurer company which provide warranty for home application?

Unauthourized transaction

Hi guys, i received call from Aeon credit service for unauthorized transaction on my aeon credit card

The card is due for expired on november 2020. Rarely use of the card -in the past 6 month i had used to top up BIGPAY / or in petrol station selfservice kiosk. Had tried to apply for balance transfer by emailing aeon credit customer service on august 2020 but turned down due to incomplete document (But i opt not to proceed for balance transfer then)

Received call/sms, AUD150 for QANTAS air australia / AUD500 for JETSTAR in interval 1 minutes. Last i visit australia is 2 years ago, i cant remember i used the particular CC card. I firmly declared i did not make the transaction and the card is with me and not shared with other people.

Called aeon credit service to verified the transaction / cancelled and blocked the card and submited the dispute form. What can i expect for the outcome? Anyone with experience can give some enlightenment?

Brandnew desktop not boot up

I had a brandnew budget desktop bought from online

Asrock 320m
Amd athlon ge200
Ssd 120gb
4gb ddr4ram

After connect o the powercord and monitor, boot it, screen show no signal..I then try to hook it up with my tv via hdmi cable, similiar result

No LED, or any error beep sound from motherboard.

The fan is spining.. but the machibe is quiet, I not even know if it is boot up.

Had try removing and reconnect ram,ssd, detach usb, detach cmos battery.. simiar result

How to troubleshoot it?
(Seller suggest to send to nearest comp store for troubleshoot, or send back to them - with cost bear by me if they found nothing wrong)

Willl arrive in airport in morning and leaving in late afternoon

Looking to rent a car from airport, is it advisable to rent it online? or just rent on the spot?
As i m leaving in late afternoon, usually the online site will count it as 4day.
if i rent on the spot, any chance my 4th day will be waive or counted as half day/ or with hourly charge?

Is island hopping / mangrove tour suitable for kids 3 and 4 years old?

Hi guys, i had reserved few rooms for my vacation later in expedia.com.my

However noted from the credit card bills, the charged ammount is higher than the room rate
SMS notification rm3765, Expedia itinerary rm3756, bill in Credit card rm 3800
That is only one of the transaction.. i have few more, thus the total sum of extra charge is quite significant

Called bank (Standard Chartered bank MY), they mention the extra charge is due to Cross border Fee， as Expedia.com.my charged in Singapore Dollar
Called Expedia, they are very firm they charged in Malaysia rinngit, thus wont be cross border fee. (Yet from the Credit card bill, it's charged to expedia SG)

Hi, guys need some opinion here, Went to service my car yesterday, was told by technician that my car battery is 438/600, suggest to change the battery. Anyway SC always offered marked up price, if want to change i would change in 3rd party store.

Anyway, what does it mean by the 438/600? is it 73% left? when i ask the SC, seem they are hardselling to change, but just can't convincing me.
Any idea what does the 438/600 mean? the battery still can last?

hi, anyone experience charges by telco due to spam sms? My wife
received her postpaid statement today, noted there is extra charges of rm100 for spam sms.

call up the telco, they suggest to contact the company who claim the payment from sms - marvel media

call up marvel media, apparently they are some ring tone provider company, they charge rm4 for each service they provide.

however, we had never subscribe to any of their service, yet receive the spam, and my wife ignore/block the spam. what should we do?

Hi all Sifu. i need some suggestion here.

Houseloan (maybank islamic houseloan)
550k - 4.2% tenure 40 years - 40years is too long
monthly installment 2.4k

my initial aim is to reduce the tenure to 20 years by paying extra rm1k each month.
However the banker suggest to pay in lumsum, as it's more effective, is it? (or they tell so so thay their job is easier?)

i actualy have excess cash on hand, should i use the cash to reduce the principal loan or better invest it somewhere else with better ROI?

Sorry to hijack this thread. I m in the midst to look for contractor (a to z)for doing the Reno ..

The contractor is quoting me
-RM168 for new plug point
-RM108 for lightning point

Is this too much for a new plug point? Any idea what does it mean for looping point / nos ? I m in this industry...

Anyway I have asked him why it s so expensive.. He say they are using some Megah Brand material with 100% copper, made in malaysia.. Anyone know about this?

The contractor is my colleague husband.. I think quite reliable.
