Company Never Pay Income Tax

Hi,

I've been working for this company for almost 1 year. Every month my employer never help me to submit income tax to LHDN. I was wondering can i do it myself? i.e. just pay 1 lump sum during the next tax declaration on April 2014. Or compulsary employer must help me to pay?

Advice - Condo or Landed?

Hi sifus - prop newb here

Am looking to find my first property. Is more for investment (or own stay if needed). After weeks of looking thru i've narrowed down to 2 choices :

1. Condo at Taman Desa (580k-600k)

Pros :
- Well established township. Very convenient.
- High rental yield
- Can imagine myself staying here in future (i'm from KL )

Cons :
- Influx of so many new apartments/condos along OKR/TD (Scott/Verve/Avantas/Petalz/9 Seputeh/Desa Green) together with the amt of existing hse - will it cause over supply of houses and thus not enuf tenants? Will be harder to sell as too many supply?
- Small condo (ard 1k sqft) and hv to pay maintenance fee

2. Double storey at Shah Alam (Ken Rimba Legian 550k-600k)

Pros :
- NEW and landed house.
- Estimate landed prop will be worth more in the future.
- Growing township - potential for growth (iCity re-development, KEN holdings building new phase of landed and condo) - good for investment (?)

Cons :
- FAR (almost at KLANG) - near i-City
- Surrounding lots of factories. Floods around the area (but not in the taman itself)
- Low rental yield (about 50-60% of what Taman Desa can offer) plus hard to find tenants.
- As is growing township, dunno have to hold till when if i want to sell in the future.

Any tips/advise from the sifus here? For both also i wont be staying in the near future, maybe in another 2-3 years time.

Online Purchase via DELL

Just wanna ask -

I recently made a DELL laptop purchase online (15R SE). I chatted thru an online support with a DELL agent and he gave me a discounted price. After that we liased via email. Upon confirming the order we contacted thru call and i provided him with my CC details. Now the order has gone thru.

Just wondering - has anyone purchase thru email via DELL agent using CC before? Am kinda worried since all the CC details has been provided.

Buying US Appstore apps

Another question here. I see all the apps in the apps store in US itunes...finger very gatal wanna buy. But how to buy? What type of payment can we Malaysians use to buy the apps ? As far as i know onli got the following :

1. US itunes gift card / cert - hard to find laaa....
2. ???
3. ???

Any other ways pppl??? Credit card langsung cannot use ke??????

Iphone noob question

Hey there.

A question of all you sifus out there. My sis has an iphone 2G FW 1.14 and has a bunch of apps which she bought from Installer (eg. Intelliscreen). Now she would like to upgrade to FW2.2 and JB it. I read from the forums that once you do the FW upgrade to 2.2, all your JB apps will be wiped out and you will have to reinstall bec again (including Intelliscreen). My question is if once the JB apps are wiped out after the firmware update, do we have to purchase the app again to use the app in our newly upgraded iphone????? Thanks.

IPhone Wifi Problem

I just got my Iphone 3G. Loving every minute of it but there's a big problem. My Wifi can connect to starbucks - no prob. But i cannot connect to my home's streamyx. I'm using a Aztech WL730RT4 router. My phone can connect to the wifi - but i cant online. Whenever i use Safari to online the following msg pops up "Safari cant connect because you dont have an Internet connection", even tho the wireless symbol is there. I went into the iphone setting and saw that the IP address under the DHCP setting the ip address starts with the following ip add '169.254.xxx.xxx'. is this normal? anyone has any ideas??????? thanks a lot.
