I bought the medical insurance on 18 Sept, 2018. The story is like this.. <br /><br />Jan, 2018 - gastric pain 1-2weeks, went for further check (endoscopy) and found out Helicobacter pylori (HP) positive and acid reflux, then follow Dr prescription and recheck HP status on May 2018 with balloon test and is clear. Then Dr dint mention need to follow up anything on acid reflux. <br />23, Sept 2018 (just few days after purchased the insurance) so coincidence I got gastric pain again and went back see same Dr, Dr said maybe do one more endoscopy to check if HP really totally clear or not, then after the procedure confirmed HP clear and still acid reflux only so Dr give me medicine, no follow up further. <br /><br />Till Jan 2020, again gastric pain two weeks and went further check, previous Dr left the hospital so take over by another new Dr. Again the new Dr said is acid reflux only and give me medicine then no follow up further. Report status gastritis, normal esophagus. <br /><br />Till Oct 2021, again gastric pain and went to another hospital, new Dr found out esophagitis and Barrett esophagus with no dysplasia, so now on medicine and follow up regularly. <br /><br />So from what I can understand is.., long term acid reflux can lead to Barrett esophagus. So, problem here, as my husband&#39;s company has provided insurance coverage for family members. So all the pass few years I just use that to claim. Then now I tried to use my individual medical insurance to claim for the follow up..adui . Straight away insurance company wanted my 5 years medical records to investigate. All documents provided and queuing for the investigation <br /><br />My question here, <br />I really don&#39;t know acid reflux can lead to disease like this and no Dr mentioned to me as well and I don&#39;t even know it can be chronic, somemore no follow up until recent new diagnosis. <br />If insurance investigator at last void my policy with the reason like chronic acid reflux without declare, any action I can do further ar?<br /><br />Tq.
