A database that apparently belongs to the National Registration Department (JPN) has been put up on sale at a well-known database marketplace forum. The seller claimed that it contained four million data that was obtained from Inland Revenue Board’s (LHDN) website through API that is made for myIDENTITY.

For those who are not familiar with myIDENTITY, it is essentially the national data sharing platform for the public sector that allows government agencies to obtain one’s personal details from a centralized repository. 10 agencies including both JPN and LHDN are currently linked to the platform which first went live in June 2012.

First highlighted by a local Intrusion Analyst, Adnan Shukor, the seller noted that the database contained plenty of important information such as full name, NRIC number, mailing & permanent addresses, mobile number, and e-mail address. Not only that, there are also images present in the database which is being grouped according to birth year that ranges from 1979 to 1998.

This is not the first time that this particular seller has put up a database from Malaysian organizations for sale at the marketplace forum. Back in February, the same seller has listed a database that claimed to be from the local e-commerce platform Ifmal, as well as another set from the Election Commission of Malaysia (SPR).

However, the seller didn’t put any prices on the previous two listings as opposed to the JPN’s database which comes with a price tag of 0.2 BTC. At the current market rate as of 8:34 AM Malaysian time today, that is equivalent to around RM 35,495.

At the moment, it is not known whether JPN or LHDN are already aware of the listing. Regardless of its authenticity, the listing is still something that the authorities need to investigate urgently as it may involved tons of personal data as well as the integrity of myIDENTITY platform.

thinking to buy car, budget 25k-35k
few options come into my mind:

1. 2nd hand myvi (2013-2015, 25k-30k)
2. new saga (standard manual) (33k)
3. new bezza (1.0 manual) (35k)

not driving in busy city and used to manual car edi so manual no prob
but no axia/viva bcos family (see later point 3) dun wan haiz

consideration:
1. maintenance fee and reliability, i damn lazy
2. i park outside, no roof, few years later only move to place that can park under roof
3. sort of a temp. car, 3-4 years later maybe will pass to family or sell it off

not in consideration/dgaf:
1. engine power - can drive can move can brake can edi
2. auto/manual - manual no prob

pay 15k-20k downpayment and loan the rest

many fast food/franchise increase price in 2018/2019 such as
KFC - snack and dinner plate
McD - expensive d but I don't remember their exact old pricing

how about grocery items? most of them increase bit by bit but there are some I think increase much more:
shokubushu refill, now normal price seems always around 7-8, even 10 also got, last time when discount can go till 5.x also
ice cream, even cheapest nestle one nowadays after discount also often 6-7, rarely go 5.x
some canned food also

Monitor randomly went black for 1 second

Just wondering anyone faced this problem before:

I just got my U2412M last month, connect to my CPU using HDMI cable + DVI converter (monitor only have DVI port)
And I notice sometimes monitor will go black screen (signal lost?) for a second, then resume back, this is quite annoying.

And later I found out most of the time this happen when someone turn on/off electric switch in my house (light, fan, oven, whatever).
After some monitoring, I've think of these possibilities, but hope someone can give hints/thing I missed on this issue:
(1) Monitor power off for a sec - Maybe not, as the blink is really fast and monitor power up usually takes more than 3-4 seconds
(2) CPU/Graphic card power low for a second - Maybe not, another VGA works just fine
(3) HDMI cable interrupted by electric (noise?) - Maybe, as my HDMI is located and group together with a bunch of wire (USB, 3.5mm Audio, VGA, power extension cord)

I wonder anyone experienced this before?
