DIY: How to dismantle the manual window handle?

Hi all,

This serves to be the first DIY tutorial that I post online. Hope this helps the DIY people in the forum here. Now today's topic is:

How to easily dismantle the manual window wind-down handle without scratching the door panel.

1st, These are the tools that you need and will see, a piece of thin hairy cloth(cotton i presume), a screw driver(optional). Also in the picture is the manual window wind-down handle(here on known as handle) after its dismantle, a piece of white plastic that separates the handles from the door panel, and also the U clip in place.
_DSC7944 by brian-r-tan, on Flickr

2nd, this is my old school Daihatsu Charade door panel with the handle. Now as many have tried to take this handle off but couldn't make out how because normally you can't see where you could go forth from here.
_DSC7949 by brian-r-tan, on Flickr

3rd, take the piece of cotton cloth, and slit it in between the handle and the door panel, if you could see the white plastic, be sure to slit the cloth in between the handle and the white plastic.
_DSC7917 by brian-r-tan, on Flickr
_DSC7918 by brian-r-tan, on Flickr

4th, while holding the cloth in place, wind-down the window by turn the window. until you see the clip popping out from the side. Be sure to pay attention during this process. You don't want to risk loosing the U-clip.
_DSC7927 by brian-r-tan, on Flickr

5th, take the U-clip off the handle. Now in the picture, i used a screw-driver to do this. But personally I don't recommend this as you might risk scratching your lovely door panel. Use your fingers instead. If you really have to use a screw driver, make sure you handle it with care.
_DSC7928 by brian-r-tan, on Flickr

6th, Pull the handle out from the door panel. You have successfully dismantled the handle.

To be continued...

Which path of investment is better?

Hi all,

am still a student and i had started some online retailing. earning is averaged around RM700 to RM2k/month.

i have a saving of around RM8k++

with the business up and running, i am turning my sight towards investing these money and looking forward to generate more income in long term... passively preferable...

currently i have 3 plans:
1. buy gold and store them... gold as in gold necklace rings and such...
- but this plan seems to be long term as far as i know, gold prices dun spike up in 6months... and it doesnt go down too much as well which is the time i plan to buy...
- storing them wouldnt be a problem as i can store them in my family's safety box.

2. invest into mutual funds.
- been doing reading on this and found that there is some scheme in public mutual that is doing well over the years... but not sure if a small time player like me should chip in money into those or not...
- have a family finacial planner... i would love to know how realiable are they...

3. forex
- some people suggestthis to me... saying they generate income almost instantly... not sure as i have gone into studying them...
- problem is i dun have time to watch the market the whole day as well... cuz of class and stuff...

now i wish to know some view on these two plans... pros and cons mayb... if you have other suggestion do feel free to suggest as well... would love to listen to them as well...

any input welcome...

thanks...
