my father have rented a piece of land somewhere in 90's. after a few years we couldn't locate the owner. and as usual we pay cukai pintu for many years (under the landlord name). electricity & water bill which registered under my sister's name. according to my father the cukai tanah was not paid by him as the land is under a master title and being paid by 1 of the owner. my quest is:-

1) where I can trace the paid cukai tanah bill and im wondering why it's been paying by another owner
2) since we cannot locate the owner and his immediate family; and the land has been taken care for many years by
us we would like to get whatever compensation.
3) we don't have any original grant. as a tenant can we get a copy and from which dept.

If there is any lawyer in this forum, please advice us as we are in dilemma situation.
