Unable to boot to Windows DVD/USB Installation

Hello

I've been fixing up a new desktop and everything boots up fine up to the BIOS.

The problem I'm having is that I am unable to boot on to my Windows Installation. The BIOS detects my DVD Drive and my external HDD but when I attempt to boot up using the DVD or Ext. HDD, it goes to a black screen for around 5 seconds and kicks me back to the BIOS screen. No errors.

I used the same DVD and ext HDD on my other PC and it boots up fine. So I'm wondering what's the defect here.

Distorted Sounds on Windows

Hello.

I'm having problems with my audio setup on my computer. Recently, my old AMD GPU had burnt out andt I bought a GeForce GPU as a replacement for the AMD. After setting everything up, the computer boots as normal but the sound has a problem. Only the left side of my headphones, it sounds distorted and fuzzy while the right side stays smooth. Also, the problem only happens if I plug in both my headphone and microphone jacks. Plugging in only the headphone jack doesn't cause any sound distortion on either side of the headphone. I'm assuming the problem lies on my mobo's microphone jacks?

I've already wiped old drivers, installed a clean version of windows with everything in my HDD formated. But the problem is still there. If there's no other solution then I might just go back to the store and replace my mobo since the warranty is still active but I lack the time of doing that for the moment. I was hoping there's an alternative for me.

Hey guys. My desktop busted down around 6 months ago due to a short in the PSU. Recently, I bought a new mobo (since my old mobo was brought down together with the PSU.) and fixed it up to my current computer. The problem is this, when I pressed the power button, the CPU, GPU and System fans are running but my monitor does not display anything. It doesn't detect the connection to my GPU.

3 months ago, I tested out my old mobo and the display shows up as normal (My old mobo had it's RAM slots broken down, It could only detect 2GB / 6GB of my RAM)

So I'm wondering what is the problem. I've also tested out a few things before that.

-Monitor works fine. Plugged into my laptop and display shows up.

-GPU doesn't seem to be the problem. The fan in running. Also I tested with a spare GPU and the display doesn't show up.

I don't have the full specs of my PC but I can give out a few info about it.

MOBO : Gigabyte 970A-DS3P
CPU : AMD Phenom X6 II 1100T
GPU : AMD Radeon HD 6870
RAM : 6GB (3 x 2GB RAM sticks)

Okay, basically I was just running my PC as usual, no power hungry applications running in the background. As I was using it, my PC suddenly rebooted without any warning. As the PC starts to boot, I heard a 'pop' and smelled something burnt. Also my PC died at this point.

Obviously it was the PSU. So I just wanna know, what's the problem with the PSU? And is there anyway to revive it?

PC Specs (Can't give a full list as my PC is now not bootable)

-Mobo : Dell.Inc Stock motherboard

-Processor : AMD Phenom X6 II 1100T

-RAM : 6GB

-GC : AMD Radeon 6870 HD

As the title says, I'm actually looking for some hardware parts to build a gaming computer. For the time being, I'm having problems with processors and graphic cards.

For processors, I've heard some of my friends saying that Intel has a higher speed as it is optimum for work and gaming in one computer. As for AMD, they said that it was optimized for gaming purposes and it would run smoothly on games but not really efficient for doing work (Take note that I'm actually building a rig specifically for gaming. Not for working purposes.) Is this somehow true? Because I've seen prices of Intel processors that are really expensive adn AMD being cheaper from Intel which somehow makes this logical.

For graphics cards, I just don't know how to compare against Nvdia and AMD. From what I've heard, AMD is actually better because it uses raw power to run the game (something like this? I'm not sure myself) and Nvdia is only good in certain games that has integrated with Nvdia GFXs. I can't properly tell the differences between these two graphic cards.

This is what I've heard from my friends. Just want a confirmation and clarification on how these companies differ from each other.

So my school gave each form 5 student a form. The form is called : Dana KCM now everyone can study. It states there they give free money to students after spm. So I filled out the form and chose computer/IT as my course for after spm but the problem is that I have to write down 3 of my preferred college. I'm not really a pro on finding which college is good for computers so some advice is really appreciated. They got specific colleges only. Spontaneously Shut Down PC

So many problems with my PC.
Now I got PSU problem (Not sure).
Everytime if I play a game for like 2 - 3 hours the pc will then suddenly shut down and cannot boot.
Have to wait for the psu to cool then I have to change the ac cable. Everytime it shuts down have to change cable.
Not sure if the PSU overheat or not.

I got a problem and a real bad one. So recently my power supply got shorted so I decided to buy a new one. After installing, everything was running good until 1 hour has passed. My monitor had shut itself off without notice (It's not like monitor going in stand by or anything. I mean shut off like the plug to the monitor was taken off from it's socket). This has been going for a week already and I'm not really sure what's the problem. I planned to buy a new monitor but I fear that it's not the monitor but the inside of my pc. Help is really appreciated.

Logitech Wireless F710 Gamepad analog broken

So I bought a Logitech Wireless F710 Gamepad about 4 months ago. Warranty was only 3 months so I couldn't replace it anymore. So here's the problem :

My analog stick was working fine a few days back. Only today that my analog stick couldn't detect any upwards movement. Nothing happens when I push the left analog stick upwards. This is preventing me from moving my game character forward (more likely I can't walk him at all). Is there a solution to this? I'm not really keen on buying a new controller at the moment (no cash ;-; ).

Hey guys. Newbie in GW2 here. Just started playing last week. During a few hours of playtime, I really have trouble understanding what is this game about.

- How does our skills get stronger?
- Does weapon loot get stronger as we fight harder enemies?
- Does this game have any quests? (besides the story quests)
- How do we lvl up faster?

I really hope someone could explain briefly what is this game about. I can't feel the fun playing if I don't understand how to play.

I really hope there is one cause wires tends to get in my way especially when im trying to move around.
I'm looking for a cheap one like >rm70 ?
And also i hope there's a microphone attached on the side of the headphones
(i don't want the mics on the wires cause sometimes my friend doesn't hear me talk)

Okay guys. Yeah, I'm a new guy here. Just registered today. I don't really know where to introduce myself so i thought maybe i should just skip the introductions and start posting. I hope you guys can teach me the ropes around here. I don't even know if this is the right place to post this >_>.

Anyway, I'm trying to search for a good MMORPG. I've been searching for the whole day and nothing seems to satisfy me. I was hoping that this could be the right place where i can get some fun free-to-play-and-not a-monthly-paying MMORPG that I can play. I'm currently downloading Vindictus and Aika SEA. It seems that only this two that have the looks like a "fun" MMORPG, but I still need some reviews. Well, I hope that you guys have some good free games to play. Any good games are appreciated.
