http://forum.lowyat.net/ Fri, 05 Jun 2026 11:53:00 +0800 FeedCreator 1.7.2 http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/4757396 Today alone i received 2 phone scammer phone calls, one claimed from TM and the other one claimed from KASTAM.<br /><br />TM --&#62; i got overdue bill and my internet is going to be suspended in 2 hours if i dont pay<br />KASTAM --&#62; i got unclaimed packages <br /><br />i was asked to press #9 to talk to operator and then the operator asked me to wait while he confirms my identity.<br />during the first conversation, he already have my full name.<br />i didnt wait for the rest, just dropped the call.<br /><br />Both calls were made from oversea numbers; Australia and Bangladesh.<br /><br />i&#39;m wondering, <br />1. how the fcuk they got my number? <br />it is a new house phone number and i have not enlisted it anywhere yet.<br /><br />2. how do they profit from these type of calls? <br />i know about the usual scam that says u have arrest warrant and need to pay some &#036;&#036;&#036; to settle<br />this one i clueless a bit<br /><br />anybody have the same experience?<br />Really piss off abt (item 1), it is really a 3 months old number. didnt register it anywhere in the internet. syaifau The Museum Of Kopitiam Tue, 26 Mar 2019 16:51:19 +0800
