            <title>How phone scammers make money?</title>

            <description>Today alone i received 2 phone scammer phone calls, one claimed from TM and the other one claimed from KASTAM.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;TM --&amp;#62; i got overdue bill and my internet is going to be suspended in 2 hours if i dont pay&lt;br /&gt;KASTAM --&amp;#62; i got unclaimed packages &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;i was asked to press #9 to talk to operator and then the operator asked me to wait while he confirms my identity.&lt;br /&gt;during the first conversation, he already have my full name.&lt;br /&gt;i didnt wait for the rest, just dropped the call.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Both calls were made from oversea numbers; Australia and Bangladesh.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;i&amp;#39;m wondering, &lt;br /&gt;1. how the fcuk they got my number? &lt;br /&gt;it is a new house phone number and i have not enlisted it anywhere yet.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;2. how do they profit from these type of calls? &lt;br /&gt;i know about the usual scam that says u have arrest warrant and need to pay some &amp;#036;&amp;#036;&amp;#036; to settle&lt;br /&gt;this one i clueless a bit&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;anybody have the same experience?&lt;br /&gt;Really piss off abt (item 1), it is really a 3 months old number. didnt register it anywhere in the internet.</description>
