I'm looking for a 3rd party PS3 controller that is actually like the Xbox 360 one. Does a controller like this exist? Has anyone tried to mod?

Hi, I am interested in getting a new rig.
My Budget = RM 1000 - 1500k for CPU Box only excluding keyboard/Monitor & DVD RW drive

My requirements : mostly for surfing - downloading - PC will be on for long periods , mostly overnight + 2-3 days over the weekend.

I've lost touch on the latest stuff. Appreciate your advise on my new possible setup.

Support in Malaysia a possibility?

I managed to meet someone ( in a high level position) in Microsoft Malaysia by chance recently and asked him abt future of support in Malaysia and he mentioned that there were some discussions at his level but nothing forthcoming. I then suggested that if some data would be helpful in pushing the case for support / official launch in Malaysia, and he said it would really help. Addtionally he also mentioned that given the right situation, there is also the possiblity of establishing a 'back-door' support channel in Malaysia ( i.e no launch in M'sia but support ). So I took his name card and told I that I'd be in touch if I can get some data.

Here's where I need everyone's thoughts. I was thinking,... with everyone's help here ,..I will need to compile a database with the following ...

*Gamertag * No of units * purchase date (month/year) * no of games* Device Failure : 3rod/ video/ power ..etc * Faillure Date ( month / year) * Problem solved? (Yes/No) * How was problem solved - Self repair / 1 to 1 exchange *

no of units and games would provide an estimate of the amt spent on xbox 360.
Purchase date will provide a trend of increasing users in Malaysia from the time of launch
gamertag will provide authenticity of users

obvoiusly all this info is for ORI 360 units and games.

Please bear in mind that this is a longshot at best but I thought we can at least try do something. Of course help from everyone here is critical. Would you all support this? has this been done before? is this data worth compiling ? need your thoughts.

display problem

I have been experiencing this problem for the past week.
When I turn on the console, got sound but no signal on my monitor( acer 1917, using ori vga cable).
After few tries,..the signal is on, picture appears but color distorted a bit, after few minutes, color is normal and will be normal for the rest of the 3-5 hours until i shut down. Next day.... same problem.
There no red light appearing. Games play fine.

not sure it's monitor problem, cable or worse...console problem.

I havent tested with another monitor yet but has anyone experienced this before?

How do I know that my console has been registered? I followed the steps in xbox.com, ho do i get confirmation?
