Here's the situation:

I used to call using Celcom alot. So the XPAX X2 plan was worth it for me. 28sen for 10 mins. But now my usage dropped (drastically) and I have leftover credit every month, not only do I waste 28 sen for short calls, I'm also forced to top up RM30 per month to extend my validity.

So if this goes on, my credit will accumulate and my $ all give to Celcom. I don't want to buy the 1 year validity period since it's kinda like burning money.

Can anyone from the awesome folks here at lowyat lend me a hand?

Is anyone willing to trade my credit via airtime share?

I have RM32 transferable credit in my prepaid account.

I am willing to trade it for RM 27 in exchange. The other small things like transfer fee all I absorb.

(Opinion needed) C Language & Unix OS vs C++

Dear LYN Coders!

Firstly I want to say hello and thank you for your time in visiting this thread.

I'm currently in college, will be transferring to US for Computer Science soon.

The university I intend to apply to, does not require a Subject called C Language and UNIX Operating systems, (an introduction to it), however, my college here needs that subject as a prerequisite, to do the next "higher" level subject, called Introduction to C++ Programming.

However, the university in US did say that free classes to understand the Unix OS will be provided based on the lecturers discretion.

So what I'm asking is that, is there any relevance in these 2 languages, C and C++?
Will I benefit in taking the C Languange & Unix OS course and then only taking the C++ one later, even if it is not needed by the US University?

What's your opinion on this? (I'm computer literate, and generally very up to date with current happenings, just not programming)

Hey guys! Saw an ad by Popular Malaysia Bookfest today (26/8/12) Sunday, that they are selling the Philips SHP-1900 Headphones at RM29.90 instead of RM 45!

Checked around online, only one or two reviews, since they really are budget headphones.

Hey guys, I wanted to know, what is your opinion on Beats Studio by Dr.Dre OEM or Grade AAA?

Yes I know a large number of people are against the Beats Headphones since it's considered that the price is more for brand than audio quality, but the OEM or Grade AAA usually costs around RM200. Which is well, a small fraction of the actual price. Is it worth the purchase?

I have my own set of Denon AH-C360s but they are earphones. These look cool!

As per the topic, I want to know what is the best approach to set up a website.

Specifically, how to set up a website to sell old books?

Here's what I have In mind.

My college currently doesn't have a primary site to sell secondhand books, and as a freshie I had the trouble of approaching many seniors to ask for a book/notes, which have not been very effective.

I want to set up a site (at no cost please, just time and effort) as a place for seniors to sell their books, and juniors to buy them.

I'm thinking of creating a form for listings where seniors will key in their book info, including a shot or 2 of the book.

(I think Jotform, or google forms would be a good tool)

and I want a simple website to display the listings. (blogspot, wordpress or even 000webhost sounds ok, no need a .com domain)

but what I have trouble figuring out is that the forms and tables don't function like a database where seniors can add information, and juniors can search the listings.

AND the listings are automatically posted on the site (like blogposts mixed with ebay/lelong listings)

lastly, I don't want all the info submitted to be posted into the listing as well (hiding name, mobile num and email for obvious reasons)

So how should I go about it?
(not an expert at programming but try me?)

Denon AH-C260 vs Feels Pro 900

Yes, I know those aren't exactly headphones, they are IEMs.

The Denon AH-C260 is at RM 150 while the Feels Pro 900 is at RM 170

Both are selling at Jaben.

Denon is Japanese and Feels is Korean I believe.

I know the price and brand do not matter that much as advised by most audiophiles I should listen to which is better.

I can't decide. and my budget should be around 160.

Which one do you think is better? I listen to bass, and also alot of sentimental music, as in less bass but more voice/vocals.

1. What is the Best Time to buy laptops, at its cheapest, is it December 2011 or January 2012?

2. PIKOM PC FAIR is coming soon, 2nd to 4th here in KL, are the PRICES of laptops cheaper or more worth it comparing with buying @ lowyat or Digital Mall?

3. Read online that the best time to buy a laptop is in April. Does that apply in Malaysia? Can't wait that long tho...
