Got offered a new position in present company

Hi. I am with this co. For 3 yrs already. Recently my superior ask me on my career progression etc. Then he wanted me to try a new position, which i completely lack of the relevant exp. the rationale according to him is he sees my potential etc etc in this position. I am not really aware of the nature of job but i do attend meeting from time to time, so i kinda have the gut feeling that this is quite a stressful job (or i may be wrong) as it is kinda sales figure orientated position. However, this is definitely a lot of exposure and learning for me. I am early 30s and many ppl said young age should be more adventurous but for me, this job is really new for me. Long story short, this job has alot of growth but could be a stressful one for me. What should i do?

What u think of long serving employee

In my company, there are a few long serving employees. They served at least more than 10 yrs, 20 yrs in the company.sometimes i wonder if this is an advantage? For eg, i have colleague, mid 30s working at this company for 10 yrs. he knows inside out of the operation but i kinda feel if he leaves this company, he may not adapt to the new environment cause he is in such a comfort zone already? The culture in this company may not be the same as the other as well.

What u think of this company. Interview drag

I had interview with this co for 3 rounds. In between took long waiting time for unknown reason. The hr always say by next week get back to me and then took more than that. When ask, keep give me all sort reasons. Then finally offered my a contract, totally lowball me less than 25% of wht my expected salary. I quite frust with this company, if u cant even match my current salary, why u drag me for two months? Shouldnt u reject me first place ?

Should i forego the bonus

I am at a mnc at the moment. However, it is very unfortunate that this job is a 'mismatched in marriage' for me. I dreaded going to work for the past 1.5 yrs, the amount of stress is unimaginable at times, the competitiveness and aggression of the company are really not my cup of tea. Thinking back, this is a low point for me in my life (wouldnt say career as i am bit new to workforce).

I always tell mystlf to give more time to adapt to the culture , but even until now, i cant get over the strees and jobscope.

So now i am in the midst of negotiating with a new company, completely new industry and i forsee myself to be enjoying this new job (but who knows what lies in future). The problem is i am having around 15% paycut per annum. Another thing is i will lost my 2 months performane bonus at my current company if i tender soon. If you were me, what will u do ?

Will hv answer within this week but i never hear anything even after a week.

Does it m an i no longer considered ? But y they didnt reject me asap..?

Is it ok to ask HR of a company for vacancy

Long story short, one yr ago I applied for this company and was offered the job. However I rejected the offer as I received a better offer from my current company. After working for a yr now, I am on the look out for new job due to misaligned of interest with my present position. Do u think is it ok to email back the hr of the company that I rejected a yr ago? Is it common practise to do so?

How to deal with boss who say yes to everything

I joined this company late last yr.. am getting very stressful with this company. The problem is my boss say yes to everything the president instruct.. then will push the responsibility to us. Even when i explained the logic behind the difficulties, i still hv to do it simply because the upper management say so. I also notice almost all high ranking position execs, seem never say no to wht the president say/think.. they treat him like a godly figure. Is this normal in corporate world?

I am struggling atm because the project given is simply pointless, and i feel kinda waste of time. Even in meeting i hv brainstormed, offered new alternative, but still have to do it because "the boss" wants it. I m getting fed up and thinking of looking for new job... Hope to get sound advice from the pros here

Should i proceed to sending my cv? It is quite clear i am underqualified (eg i hv 3 yrs exp but job ad requires 6yrs). Or is it possible the recruiter is just spamming phone calls to evry tom dick and harry?

is it good idea to quit just after pay rise

my salary increment is early next yr.. this is my first job and frankly, have been on the lookout for new job.. reason for me being still attach to my company is because yr end bonus is just around the corner.. and next jan will be my salary increment. my question here is that is it a common practise for ppl to quit just after their salary increment, and use their new pay as leverage when applying for a new job? eg, i get 5% salary increment from old company, then i quit, and i use my new pay to further nego for higher pay?

Been wanting to buy switch. Its major appeal to me is portability.. as im bit sick of play on big screen like ps4. I prefer handheld on bed play AAA game.

However, the price of game and console seem very high here. Shld i buy the console now? Also, i believe it is only capable of gaming right? Youtube, video streaming are not available? Any third party app that can use ?
