Linux Tech's Needed

Hello Lowyat Forumers ,

It's been a long time since I've made a posting. Been extremely busy pursing a score of different projects/initiatives/learning/living etc. Some may ask why? I've come to "Lowyat" forum with this type of posting; simple answer, this is the "underground" if you will of the IT industry in K.L. in MHO lives here!!!... sure I could go to jobstreet or jenjobs and what not but then I'd get a plethora of resumes, junk mail, etc etc.... This to me seems to be a much more intuitive method (Note to forum admin - if I've placed this in the incorrect spot please correct or PM me tq).

Recently I've been awarded a couple of projects using OpenSource technologies (US & UK based firms); now I believe it's time that I begin building a team for the simple fact that I am only one person and there are only 24hrs in a day .... For one of these projects I need specifically five men/women (entry level - manager) to fulfill part of my SLA requirements and what not. The "general" info is below; I would ask that you PM me direct and we'll discuss further the project.

General Info:
1. Lucrative Salary
2. Small Cohesive Team
3. Focuses on OpenSource
4. Reg. business hours for now (will transition to shifts later)
5. Potential for career growth
6. Clean/Professional working environment
7. One month of thorough training from parent Co.
8. Location of office is in PJ area

Knowledge Requirements:
(Must speak English, mandatory)
1. Experience in optimized and patched linux kernels
2. Understanding of mission-critical daemons
3. Trouble shooting OS, hardware and network related problems.
4. Experience in Linux performance tuning
5. Installing software applications and Packages.
6. Installing and configuring DNS, Apache Web Server and DHCP server.
7. Implementation of TCP Wrappers Services
8. Knowledge of cron scheduling jobs.
9. Taking backups using tar, Bzip2, gzip, zip.
10. Experience with database replication process

All are invited to PM me; men/women, entry-level/guru's; I only ask that you read through the above requirements and ensure that you've got at least 70% of the knowledge/skills listed above. As mentioned "English" (both written/spoken) is a mandatory prerequisite; not to worry Bahasa speakers with more projects on the way; hopefully I'll have something for you as well soon cheers

lucky206
