Why do employers prefer to hire Security Managers with police or army background? How beneficial is those experience for the Security Manager role??

I see most are too old and lazy.

Hi

My Peugeot 207 current mileage 43,000km+, but its due time to send for 50,000km service.

Spanner in indicator already appear on dash with only 400km remaining everytime I start the car. It seems to decrease much faster now. Even if I don't travel 100km, by 2 days with under 100km travelling, the spanner indicator will appear and less 100km to go.

I had made booking 2 weeks ago but the earliest I can service is next week. Already gonna ngam ngam 10,000km since last service

Is it ok to drive around till next week's schedule serice? Would it damage the car engine?

Would it void my Peugeot Lionsave coupon for the free service?

Please advise

im thinking of a career change into HR

i have a Degree in Finance and currently working in a bank doing back-end processing. i am sick of the nature of the job and also been in the company for 3+ years and i want to move to another company.

to be in HR i think some qualifications would be good to gain skills and knowledge.

here are my queries:

- is it better to do a short diploma course in HR or a Masters in HR?
- which uni or colleges offer the best courses that are recognized and value for money
- this is a career related question --> is it better to jump to a same role but diff company + study HR OR jump into a HR job without experience and qualifications + study HR ...rmb that id need to work to fund my tuition fees.i wonder if jumping straight into a HR role would offer the same kind of pay im getting now.

My requirements:

- European car RM10k+
- Relatively affordable for average income earner (monthly income 3k+)
- Availability of parts and sufficient proffesional/honest mechanics to service/fix
- Reliable and convenient (once serviced no need to worry about breakdowns or "rainy days")

Based on the above requirements, I feel like the Volvo 240 seems like a reliable cheap second hand European car. But I always hear good and bad stories. Some say its a nightmare and too costly while others say its very afforable and reliable.

Kindly give your comments on owning this car. Please also state whether or not you have owned and driven the car before.

I want a reliable European workhorse which is a cult classic and I hope there would be more positive feedbacks about owning this car now.

Also do let me know if they are other European cars within that price range that I should consider.

This may sound silly, but I am unsure on how to renew my MSIG motor insurance.

I have already receive the renewal notice via mail. But I am unsure of how to proceed from here.

Is there a way of renewing it online?

Am I only able to renew my road tax once the motor insurance is renewed?
