Hi guys, i worked part time in a cafe for few months & i met a girl from philippines there. Somehow we clicked and we get along very well, i think we like each other very much. However we never get a chance to go on a normal dating as she's staying with the employer and seems not allow to go out alone. For me i think to understand a person better, we should spend some time together other than working hour. Also i heard that once their contract ended they will have to go back to philipines... So i'm wondering, if I hope to take this relationship seriously, what can i do? Anyone has similar experience to share?

hey guys i'm a in-house programmer in non IT industry and i'm thinking to change job. I love my current job but the company couldn't afford to pay me enough for me & my family to survive. Can anyone share some experience about working as a programmer/IT related jobs in a bank, contract base? I have 5 years experience how much salary can i expect? thx.

PC hangs randomly during windows setup

hi guys need some help here.

There is one pc in my office which started to hang randomly last week. When it hangs the monitor LED turns to orange color but cpu still running. Pressing any keys on keyboard or mouse movement would not "wake up" the computer, even Reset button fails. The only way to restart is to turn the power off and on.

So i first check by unplugging all the usb hardwares and all the PCI cards except graphic card, one IDE hdd and CDROM but problem still stays. So i tried to :

1.change the graphic card,
2.take out both ram and test one by one,
3.repair windows and do CHKDSK,

but pc still freeze in normal mode and safe mode, within 5 minutes. Fans still running, CDROM still able to eject but keyboard and mouse does not respond, hdd LED doesn't lit too. So i finally decide to format and reinstall. Problem is the winxp setup hangs randomly and never able to complete installation. At this point i almost certain it is hdd fault, to make sure, i take another hdd from a pc which already has OS and try to run. It successfully loads to desktop and run for more than 1 hours without problem. As soon as i change back to the original hdd it hangs again.

I put in a newly bought hdd and try to setup windows, BUT it still hangs randomly during the setup, no hdd LED. I'm frustrated and have no clue what is going on. Anyone has any idea?

Question about Heroes Season 1 DVD

I saw the dvd box set selling at Speedy and before i pull out my money from the wallet, i saw the tag "6 Discs" on the box. As i remembered reading on the internet that Heroes Season 1 DVD is suppose to be 7 disc not 6.

So i was wondering if anyone has bought the box set and kindly clear up my doubts?? i sure don't want to miss out the good stuffs thanx
