Get rid of Rapidshare 15 mins wait in a downloader

Hi peoples, I have some tips here for those who download Rapidshare files as a free-user. If you have many files to download, is better to use a downloader. The downloader that I use is Universal Share Downloader (USDownloader). Recently Rapidshare reinforce the waiting time again after each download. So between each download I would lose 15 mins. To get rid of the wait, I can manually disconnect and reconnect my internet to change my IP. So everytime I do that I no need to wait. But we want to make it automatic. Luckily, USDownloader let us execute a program everytime it finish a download. So, we can tell it to run a script that reconnects the internet everytime it finish a download.

The Batch script that I use to reconnect the internet is:

CODE

rasdial /d
rasdial your_connection_name your_username your_password

I find it to performs faster than ipconfig /renew, /release. To use the script, replace your_connection_name with the name of the connection that you created to connect to internet. You can find the name in Control Panel -> Network Connections. Also replace the username and password that you use for the connection, if you use streamyx, that will be your streamyx username and password. Save the script as a batch file (eg. name it "reconnect.bat").

In USDownloader, open the Options box, open up the Scheduler, then you can Add a Task that execute the Batch script everytime it finish a download .

Btw, to learn more about rasdial, type "hh netcfg.chm" in the command line and you can look it up in the help file.

Be aware though, disconnecting your internet means breaking your other downloads, sign you out from your instant messenger, etc, you got my idea

Well, that's all, I hope someone finds it useful. Happy downloading

Edit:
Btw, on something unrelated to Rapidshare, you can put the Batch file at the Startup folder so everytime Windows starts it will automatically dial the connection, useful lil script
Degree how important?

I am an undergraduate from MMU, I am going to take my internship next semester but I have many worries. One is that I haven't found any company that is willing to take me as an intern. Another thing is the assignment is so heavy that I am not sure I am going to pass a few of the subjects.

I am thinking of dropping school and start working. But I don't have a degree. My field is film and animation, I do 3d animations and a little motion graphics and visual effects. I want to have opinions from you guys here, do you think I am able to get a job without a degree in this industry? How high is the degree being valued in this industry? and what thing I need to look out for if I decided to recklessly start working?

Thanks.

edit:
btw, this is my animation reel that I use when applying for internship: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D9EixCNlNwg, I wonder if there's anything wrong to it. My works is embarassing I know, haha, but it's for internship, I plan to improve it a lot more to get a job.
Power down when harddisk is connected

Hi guys, please help me troubleshoot this:
I have a problem harddisk, whenever I plug in the power cable, the whole pc's power goes down, there is still light on the led but the motherboard fan stops and everything else also... I have two harddisk in the pc including the troublesome one, if I take out the troublesome harddisk, the pc will runs ok.

I can't get into the bios, it happens everytime I plug in power cable to the harddisk and then switch on the pc, the pc starts and after maybe 0.5 second the all power goes down.

It might be that the harddisk is damaged but I test it on another older pc and the harddisk reads fine.

It can't be the power supply problem because the other hardwares works fine using the power supply.

It is not the power cables because I have tested the harddisk using different power cables from the power supply.

I don't understand how a harddisk can makes the power goes down, the harddisk works fine on another pc (I tested it once only), and the power supply have no trouble with the other components... The weird thing is I managed to have the harddisk works one time, I plug in the power cable and the pc runs normal for a few seconds, and I thought ok it's working now but when I shut down the pc and replug in the power cables, the old things happens again...

(Edited: grammar, vocab and terms)

Free models?

I need some models to test on my games, I don't know how to create and animate models, yet, so I am looking for some free ones to use, preferably human models with animations.

During my search, I found out 3dcafe.com, but they contains mostly non-living things.
