Bought Sony z3 Compact

I just bought 2 new sony z3 compact at DirectD 3 month ago...1 for me and the other one is for my girlfriends.
The problem is my girls phone had water damage and sent to center at DirectD back. They told us warranty void due to our mistake. Both phone were hold by me when we go swim at river. and i know about ALL IP rating.. why my phone totally ok but my girls is not. I have check both phone were closed tight. Now they charge Rm800 for repair motherboard...should i procedd...anyone had experience like me? what i suppose to do?Plzz help me...
