Is it a norm?

I've just finished serving my notice in a small audit firm. However, I've encountered 2 weird practices by the firm which I never experience before.

1. The firm holds my last month salary while it has paid other employees. When I approached the HR, she said the firm will only pay me on my "last day", which is after I've completed all jobs on hand, not on my last day service as stated in my resignation letter. Is this legally right?

2. My senior said I can't leave the firm if I haven't complete my jobs on hand, despite I've served full notice. Basically today is my first day after notice period.

And is there any authorities I can relate those matters to? Just in case.

I would like to hear your suggestions or opinions.

Pricing field: How's the career progression?

Hi everyone, please state your opinions about it, particularly on its career progression and career diversification.

Fyi, I have google about it but still lack of information compared to finance. Part of the information I found is it's a specialty field. Career progression will be limited. Is that true? Can anyone with experience in this field clarify this?

And where pricing career will lead one to? Is it easy for one in pricing field (on products) jump to finance / accounting field? or vice versa?

Does anyone knows where to find its series in English subtitle or which shop sells it?

In case of someone never heard of this documentary, it's an hour for each episode and produced in Korean language. They are mainly discuss about the causes and effects of diseases, preventive measures, healings with combination of therapies including good daily habits and others in details. As for my personal opinion, it's a very detail and informative health documentary than any others I have watched.

Internship?

I'm aware of the benefits of internship. Some may think that taking 2 internships (for an approximately 8 months) will do goods for them.
However, to those who have experience in HR field or went through it before, I have several questions. Please enlighten me.

1) What will HR thinks, particularly to those applicants have 2 interns (8 months in workforce but in different companies) listed in resumes?

2) Will you consider to take 2 internships in long periods (8 months in different/same companies) or take both of them together in short periods (4 months in same company)?

3) The possibility for a permanent employee get promotions or increments in his/her first year is high or low (besides employees involve in sales)?
