VLC Media 1.1.9

Sifus/all

I have VLC Media 1.1.9
Disclaimer: I am a semi-techno n00b.

I have a whole bunch of YouTube videos I'd like to burn it onto a DVD - so others could watch it on a 32" TV.

Questions:

1. Am i correct to assume I burn it via >Media> Open Disc> Disc?

2. The YouTube vids are a mix of 720p and 360p - and a mix of .flv and .mp4 - So am I wasting my time to even burn these files onto DVD, to watch on 32" TV, and then the vids to just to be so pixelated/stretched/blurry?

Thanks.
