Windows 7's Disk Management Issue

Hello.. i have an issue here regarding windows 7's Disk Management. For most of the time, i use Disk Management to adjust partitions' space of my hard disk, and they were working just fine. A few days ago, i helped my sisters' friend to configure her laptop to make 2 partitions of 145 GB each instead of 290GB of one partition. So i used Disk Management to shrink C partition (Which is previously a single 290GB) to 145GB and create another partition D from the remaining capacity after shrinking. Both partition were appeared in Computer. then, i handed the laptop to my sister. After a few moments, the D partition was gone. it was missing from the computer. the thing that makes me confused is that the D partition is missing and the computer detected C with 145GB but when i opened Disk Management again it detected C as a single partition of 290GB. My sister said the D partition was missing after windows update. I dont know what they have done with the laptop but they said that they were able to copy media files to the D before its gone.

Can anyone solve this matter? it bothers me a lot since this laptop is not mine..

gtx 580 overclocking issue

i am new to overclocking.. i pushed up my graphic card from 782MHz of core clock to 930MHz at 1.113mV vcore. i tweaked it using MSI Afterburner and ran the stability test using MSI Kombustor (Xtreme Burn-in, 1920x1080, 16AA), I ran the MSI Kombustor burn-in test for 30 minutes and it passed the test at that moment. but right after that, when i played Crysis 2 with latest patch and features on max setting for 1 hour and nothing went wrong. then i tried BF3 but after around 10-15 minutes, my computer went BSOD.

my question is, does the BSOD mean overclocking failure in my situation? i mean instability from my graphic card? what makes me confuse is when i select the Xtreme Burn-in option, it warned me that using Xtreme burn-in may cause instability and maybe not from your graphic card.. i just think that the clock is not stable at the vcore but that warning message clouded me.. any opinion?

RAM: Adjusting RAM Latency

A newbie question here.. Is there any risk if we adjust the RAM latency in bios? like increasing temperature that can burn the RAM? i am currently using Asus P8P67 PRO motherboard and as for my RAM is corsair vengeance 1600MHz cl8 8GB (4GBx2) with latency of 8.8.8.24 without custom RAM cooler or fan

In bios setup of my motherboard, i can set the latency manually.. i cannot take the risk to change without knowing the consequence..

another question.. can we change the latency without changing the RAM frequency?

temperature issue: Single GPU vs SLI

as we know that we use more power to run SLI graphic card than single graphic card.. i just wondering, as well as increased power consumption, do temperature increase also, in idle and gaming, in SLI compare to single card (single GPU)? For example, let say if System Wattage with a SINGLE msi gtx 560 hawk in FULL Stress is 339W and temperature in gaming mode is 65C.. do the temperature increased drastically that we need an elite cooling system, liquid cooling or etc? or remain the same, stable around the temperature that is on single GPU?

What is the most suitable PSU power for gtx 580?

As clarified by the topic, what is the most suitable PSU for gtx 580? because currently i am aiming for FSP Aurum Gold 600W since it is cheap.. but i dont know whether the power is enough to run system with gtx 580.. plus, i am planning to overclock the GPU..
extra question.. is FSP Aurum gold 600W a good PSU? is it durable? long lasting? when i read the review, it ends with a positive conclusion like high efficiency.. anyone has comment on this?

can i5 support 2x gtx570 (SLI) w/o bottleneck?

just curious.. sorry for newbie question.. i want to buy a new PC.. its either i7 or i5.. and a graphic card of gtx 570.. i am just a gamer.. but the main question is.. can i5 2500k support dual gtx 570 (SLI) without overclocking the CPU? i am thinking about long term use AND i am trying to be pricewise here at the same time.. i am taking both factors.. if it can support gtx 570 SLI, what is the best PSU that can support dual gtx 570? i am not asking the highest power supply but the most suitable PSU for dual gtx 570..
