7.1 surround sound for laptop [How to]

With all the terms being used, I'm a bit lost with all the info, so if it's possible, I do wish some one would provide a guide, or link up one on how to actually set up a 7.1 surround sound system, specifically on a laptop.

I'm sorry if it sounded like a stupid question to ask but really I needed help with this matter because I just bought a Tiamat 7.1 but I don't actually understand the way to setup this

Hi,
I'm new to the forum so I apologize if there was a previous question regarding this topic

I recently bought the Razer Tiamat 7.1 and assuming that most of you would already know, it has the capability for a 7.1 surround system, correct?
So, likewise to the topic, can a standard or gaming laptop, actually provide a 7.1 surround sound?

I'm using the Dell XPS 15z and it only comes with a standard 3.5 mm audio jack. After doing some research on the Internet, I did find out some ways that is possible, only they required items which are, mostly, hard to obtain here in Malaysia.

So, to all the pros and awesome people of the forum, a lil bit of help with the issue?
