Achee can't reveal, but was staying near it. The area was pretty new then in 1994. Achee rented it temporarily while waiting for own house to complete.

At nights, there were bound to be echos. Achee's maid decided to sleep in the family living ..........."cannot tahan", she said.

The maids, mine and the neighbours', seems to hear name being called, especially children's. What being said in the day may echo back at night.

That area, according to a friend, still being "visited" at times. By now, I believe "they" would have shy-off

QUOTE

Most playgrounds at night are creepy also.

Some parts of SS18 and SS14 (near USJ2-SS14 pedestrian bridge and near SMSJ school) look damn creepy

QUOTE

well speaking of playground's hauntedness, there's this playground at USJ2 that's up a hill, with a steep path...
last time when my ex-classmates and I were having BBQ at night, when the BBQ was almost at the finale, everyone just relaxing and about to get ready to pack and leave, me and a few friends, who's sitting facing the swings, noticed the swing was moving a little. we looked at each other, and looked again, then he said it must be the wind.

Notice i said 'swing' and not 'swings'
so we quickily suggested everyone to pack up and leave, since it was "rather late" and I've never return to that playground ever...

QUOTE

I remember there was a house in SS12, I stayed there for a year during college time, that one is confirmed haunted, my housemates at that time had stayed there for a year before I shifted in. We heard toilet flushing, water kettle boiling on its on, note, 'WE' heard all that together.

QUOTE

There used to be one in USJ5. I won't disclose the exact address, now that the house has been occupied by its new owners. From what I heard, the body of a murdered woman had been buried under that house, and there were a lot of "disturbances". I noticed that occupants never stayed there very long, and there were long periods where the house was unoccupied. I also noticed the house having its entire roof removed.

QUOTE

Wow, my fav topic!

Anyways, I know the park TinkerFy talked about. I was there quite often with my then bf (now fiance) but so far, nothing happened ler?

However, we both encounter an experience that none of us could explain. Its at one of the USJ3 park, the one near the shell station. We were walking into the the park when suddenly, both of us just stopped.

Reason : I felt a chilling cold surrounding me from a warm evening suddenly, while he felt the back of his neck tingling as in all the hair the back of his neck just stand up. He however did not feel the cold. We just looked at each other, and did a 180 degree turn straightaway and muttering prayer of the Lord under our breathes. Scary? Yes.

But not as scary as to attend a funeral and the 7th day, and in the morning u see animal paw/hoof/foot?? prints. It is said that whatever your chinese animal horoscope is, on the 7th day, that is the print (foot???) that will be left on the flour dusted on the floor. Anyone can explain more on this??

Sand ppl force me out of my own home

Is it just me or is many apartments in Klang Valley infested with Pak Hitam and Sand People?

A Sand People family moved into a unit neighbouring mine a few months ago. They have a retarded daughter who screams at the top of her lungs throughout the morning when the residents are trying to sleep. The family itself don't sleep until 6am ... sometimes they hold early morning dinner parties.

Because I have some health problems I cannot endure the continued distrubances to my sleep. Today I just signed a tenancy agreement to rent another apartment in a different part of klang Valley - the deposit, lawyer fees etc cost me a bomb.

In one or two months I'll be putting my home up for sale. Feels like my heart being ripped out , thanks to the foreigners and the "investors" who rent to them!

Dear all,

Because of some unpleasant foreign neighbours I decided to sell my current home and rent a small apartment unit, maybe for a few years.

Centrestage 301sq ft studio in Section 13 PJ and Subang Olives studio (any size as long as rental is below RM1,300) in SS16, Subang Jaya are on my shortlist.

What is important to me is the apartment must be quiet and peaceful at night (no screaming children, no shouting), safe and rental is RM1,300 and below.

Sifus, please give advice, pros and cons and feedback about the environment, tenant profile in those two places etc.

Also, can someone recommend me a good conveyancing lawyer as I need to see my current apartment. Please PM me the name, address and contact details.

Thank you very much and Happy Chinese New Year
Hello all,

I'm asking this on behalf of a gal friend of mine. What do you guys and girls think? what action should she take?

QUOTE

A friend of mine got to know a photographer while working as a promoter at a shopping mall. The photographer claimed he was working for a famous magazine and he can make her rich and famous by featuring her on the cover of the magazine and by introducung her to his VIP friends.

My friend was taken in and slept with him 3 times - his price for helping her. But after that, the photographer stopped answering her calls and sort of disappeared.

My friend is furious and felt that she has been cheated.

She'll like to ask, does she have a "case" to do any or all the following:
1. make a police report (is his action considered a crime?)
2. sue the photographer (breach of contract? although all she had was a few e-mails and SMS, no formal agreement)
3. make a complaint with M CA's Micheal C?

Bank asking for new fire insurance cert

Dear all,

I recently refinanced my home loan to Bank P. Bank P (famous for a video posted on YouTube) has a reputation as a "careful" bank, and I thought I'm fine with that since I always pay my bills on time.

But I found out to my regret that Bank P is very fond of asking for documents while giving short datelines for me to hand them over.

Latest example, my apartment's fire insurance policy expires on May 11. I received a letter dated April 11 on April 20 asking me to hand over a copy of the renewed policy cert within 14 days from April 11, which is only a few days from now!

My apartment's management office has not even billed me yet for the fire insurance. And from my experience with insurance companies, the cert may take 1-3 months to arrive after payment.

Please advice how do I respond to Bank P?
1. Ignore them for now
2. Write in to them
3. Other options?

Giving me a deadline when the policy has not expired yet seems not too reasonable to me

Measure of a man

Girls,

What kind of guys do you prefer as your partner:
a) the aggresive, quick tempered type, or
b). the cool and calm ones?

Let's say you were walking with a guy when a couple of foreigners started whistling and making crude comments (it happned to me a few times).

Type A guy will want to confront them and get into a shouting match and possibly a fight.

Type B guy will urge you to ignore them and just walk on, as it is "not worth it" to risk life and limb over some small slight.

My female friends are pretty divided over this, some say Type B is smarter, others say Type A is more manly and "more safe to be around with".

Is it ok for girl to drive her bf on dates?

Dear all,

I'm currently dating a guy who doesn't like to drive. Other than for short trips to a few familiar places, he'll suggest we either take LRT, taxi or that I drive (either my car or his). His car is rather old too.

The thing is he is not a useless bum or anything like that. He is intelligent, open-minded, has a decent career, is a successful investor and so on. In short, he has his oddities but is quite a good catch

My question: is it normal and socially acceptable for a girl to drive her boyfriend on dates?

Girls, your opinions please.

Any website to check for summons?

Dear all,

Any website to check for summons?

Tried Google but the sites that I found gave "Error 404".

My story is this:
A couple of days back, I was stuck in a traffic jam. The traffic lights are not working and a cop was directing traffic.

A big truck was beside me and I was keeping a wary eye on it. Wasn't sure if the cop was signing for me to stop.

As I was driving away, I saw the cop looking at my car's bumper and reaching for a pen.

Not sure if he can give me a summons if I fail to stop when he signed me to stop (I wasn't looking - it's the truck's fault for blocking my view)

Anyone have idea what's the fine if he did gave a summons?
Thanks.

Price of Peace (of mind)

My landlord recently sold her house and I need to find a new place to rent very soon. I've shortlisted several choices and frankly, I'm having sleepless nights deciding which one to choose:

1. New Low-medium cost apartment (Mentari Court) ... rental is cheap RM650 for a RM3r 2b apartment. There are lots of students there. Unfortunately, there are also a lots of shady characters .... former squatters, foreign manual workers, Africans etc. I'll probably worry for my safety if i stay there ... but i'll save lots of money

2. New upper-medium class condo ... rental RM1k (studio) to RM1.5k (2r2b). A much nicer place, nicer neighbours and I'll feel much safer. But the rental will take out a big chunk of my salary, which means much less savings.

3. Old middle-class house. RM650 (2r2b) to RM1.2k (3r 2b). This is probably be the choice for most male executives. But there's no security guards and the crime rate is so high these days. Plus, the houses are 20-years-old.

I need to stay 1-2 years only as my own apartment is under construction.

Which choice will you guys and girls pick? What is the price for peace of mind? Is saving several thousands ringgit worth the price of living in fear?
