Upgrade GPU or CPU first

Hi guys,

So I am contemplating an upgrade for my build but limit my budget to 7++. My current specs is written with my sig....the main cause for this upgrade is to be ready for the new games coming out (bf3, mw3, skyrim etc).

I currently connecting my rig to an LCD tv so resolution is usually 1360 x 720 and highest is 1600 x 1200....so which one do you guys recommend:

a) get a i3 2100 + new motherboard and milk my gtx 260 for another year

or

b) get a ati 6870. Think my cpu will be the bottleneck but with my resolution it should be ok. Dont mind in turning off some eyecanding for decent framerates.

Thanks in advance for all the advice guys....
