Hawker Stall

Hi Sifus,

Opening a restaurant is one of my life goal, therefore, i would like to start off with opening a hawker stall. The advantage of opening hawker stall is low entry cost, easy to manage and profitable if done correctly. The question is where do i start? I had done some survey that the rental is paid daily but i do not know whether they would rent the table or not. The only part i have no issue with is that i know some Burmese people that are willing to work for me. As the question now is where do i find the supplier, how to cook and how to manage it efficiently. I am thinking of doing chicken rice as many people like chicken rice as it is simple and convenient during lunch time, not to mention i like a good tasty chicken rice myself. my target area would be setapak since my guys live there.

Any sifus that have experience can share it here and i appreciate for the time.
I ask him to come back and i'll sign the thing because i dont want some court letter.

The question is how much do i have to pay, and should officer know the price of the saman? or is he just lying to me?

Title: Pakistan to Pornistan - Pak tops the world in internet google searches for porn

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan — the land of the pure — has notched up a rather unenviable first place, for porn searches per person across the world, according to Google search trends.

According to a Fox News report, Pakistan is "top dog in searches for horse sex, since 2004, donkey sex since 2007, rape pictures and rape sex since 2004, child sex between 2004 and 2007 and since 2009, animal sex since 2004 and dog sex since 2005".

The country also tops or has topped in searches under the categories of sex, camel sex, rape video, child sex video and some other unprintables. The Pakistani embassy did not reply to a request for an interview, the report said.

So far, Pakistan has banned 17 websites for offensive or blasphemous material and is monitoring seven others (including Google, Yahoo, YouTube and Amazon).

[youtubewide]041hVGRs90E[/youtubewide]

http://wikiislam.net/wiki/Muslim_Statistics_(Pornography)

http://www.foxnews.com/world/2010/07/12/da...aphic-material/

Scientists Invent Particles

Scientists Invent Particles That Will Let You Live Without Breathing
Jesus Diaz

This may seem like something out of a science fiction movie: researchers have designed microparticles that can be injected directly into the bloodstream to quickly oxygenate your body, even if you can't breathe anymore. It's one of the best medical breakthroughs in recent years, and one that could save millions of lives every year.
The invention, developed by a team at Boston Children's Hospital, will allow medical teams to keep patients alive and well for 15 to 30 minutes despite major respiratory failure. This is enough time for doctors and emergency personnel to act without risking a heart attack or permanent brain injuries in the patient.

The solution has already been successfully tested on animals under critical lung failure. When the doctors injected this liquid into the patient's veins, it restored oxygen in their blood to near-normal levels, granting them those precious additional minutes of life.

Particles of fat and oxygen

The particles are composed of oxygen gas pocketed in a layer of lipids, a natural molecule that usually stores energy or serves as a component to cell membranes. Lipids can be waxes, some vitamins, monoglycerides, diglycerides, triglycerides, phospholipids, or—as in this case—fats.

These fatty oxygen particles are about two to four micrometers in size. They are suspended in a liquid solution that can be easily carried and used by paramedics, emergency crews and intensive care personnel. This seemingly magic elixir carries "three to four times the oxygen content of our own red blood cells."

Similar solutions have failed in the past because they caused gas embolism, rather than oxygenating the cells. According to John Kheir, MD at the Department of Cardiology at Boston Children's Hospital, they solved the problem by using deformable particles, rather than bubbles:

We have engineered around this problem by packaging the gas into small, deformable particles. They dramatically increase the surface area for gas exchange and are able to squeeze through capillaries where free gas would get stuck.

Kheir had the idea of an injected oxygen solution started after he had to treat a little girl in 2006. Because of a lung hemorrhage caused by pneumonia, the girl sustained severe brain injuries which, ultimately, lead to her death before the medical team could place her in a heart-lung machine.

Soon after, Kheir assembled a team of chemical engineers, particle scientists, and medical doctors to work on this idea, which had promising results from the very beginning:

Some of the most convincing experiments were the early ones. We drew each other's blood, mixed it in a test tube with the microparticles, and watched blue blood turn immediately red, right before our eyes.

It sounds like magic, but it was just the start of what, after years of investigation, became this real life-giving liquid in a bottle.

This is what the future is about. And it's a beautiful one indeed, one that is arriving earlier than we ever could have expected. I wonder if this would find its way to other uses. I can see it as an emergency injection in a spaceship, for example. But what about getting a shot for diving? [ScienceDaily]

http://gizmodo.com/5921868/scientists-inve...thout-breathing

Beer, boobs and books

Beer, boobs and books
Mariam Mokhtar | June 22, 2012
Umno and the Islamic departments seem oblivious to their abuse of authority and power.

The Malays are doomed, and Umno together with the various Islamic departments will have a hand in their downfall. From beer to boobs and body art to books, the mind and morals of Malay Muslims are subjected to continual heavy bombardment.
Is it any wonder that the Malay has ceased to be a critical analyst? He feels burdened when he tries to think what is best for him and for society as a whole.
The Malay with an alternative viewpoint fears being branded by the rest of the Malay community and is frightened of expressing his views in public. Anyone who thinks Malays are privileged is sadly misguided.

It is a fact that the non-Malays are treated unfairly. They are denied opportunities in education, finance, business and housing, yet their issues are systematically being addressed.

Likewise the plights of the migrant workers who are abused by their employers, people who are tortured in detention, or the families of men who mysteriously died in police custody, are being investigated by the opposition, civil society groups and NGOs.

It is absurd to think that Malays are superior when in fact they are being betrayed by Umno and extremist groups linked to Umno.

Malays cannot openly criticise members of royalty even if the latter are responsible for assault, have accrued gambling debts or abuse their positions of trust. Malays do not have freedom of religion, a right accorded to each Malaysian citizen and which is enshrined in the constitution. Malays are judged by two laws – civil and syariah.

Some Malay boys are sent to boot camps to toughen them up and remove their effeminate tendencies in an attempt to resolve the confusion with their sexuality.

Malays who do yoga, dance the poco-poco and who attend funeral services to pay respects at the eulogy of their non-Muslim friends, are ostracised.
The beer consumed by Kartika Dewi Sukarno mirrors the hypocritical ways of the Umno brand of Islam, practised in Malaysia. When she was sentenced, Kartika accepted her punishment and asked to be whipped in public so that others could learn from her mistake.
Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak, Shahrizat Abdul Jalil, the Minister for Women, Family and Community Development at the time, and the Home Minister Hishammuddin Hussein were taken aback.

Stung by international criticism, they were forced to backtrack on the harsh punishment. The government machinery tried to defend their untenable position, but the damage to the image of a ‘moderate’ Muslim nation, was done.
Whilst Kartika was subjected to intense pressure, Muslim directors of beer companies have escaped unscathed and Muslim patrons of high-class establishments, who are the children of ministers, their cronies or royalty, do not get caught by the moral police.
The privileged ones

Growing up is trying for the average Muslim teenager. Holding hands is forbidden as is eye-contact. Going on a date, or sending and receiving Valentine cards are risky pursuits.

A Malay career woman living on her own, once confided that she was fearful of any household appliance breaking down because she was afraid that someone might report her to the moral police for being alone in her apartment with the workman.
Her friend had been the victim of a malicious attack, by someone whose affections she refused. He had phoned the moral police to exact revenge. Are the deaths, from people falling off balconies whilst escaping the moral police, justifiable?

When the performance of ballet dancers, the Black Eyed Peas group or Erykah Badu’s tattoos were banned in Malaysia, they made international headlines.
Muslim groups complained that the clothing of the ballet dancers was inappropriate, that Muslims should be banned from the Black Eyed Peas concert because it was financed by a brewery, and that Badu was not a suitable role model for young Malaysians.
The groups which are so vociferous in the condemnation of these artistes are silent about the antics of the MPs who both condone and commit acts of underage marriage (paedophilia), incest, polygamy, rape, corruption, fraud and abuse of human rights.

The latest act of harassment, by the Jabatan Agama Wilayah Persekutuan (Jawi), against the Borders bookshop store manager Nik Raina Nik Abdul Aziz is worrying. The following day, Borders was again raided and another Muslim female employee targeted.
Nik Raina, her two colleagues and a Borders’ appointed lawyer attended a Jawi investigation as requested, and were issued arrest warrants. The Home Minister and the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department for Islamic Affairs have chosen to remain silent about this affair.

Umno and the Islamic departments seem oblivious to their abuse of authority and power. Who will be blamed, when companies refuse to employ Muslims so that they can operate smoothly and avoid sensitive confrontational issues to do with religion?

Food and beverage, the hospitality and transport industries including publishers and bookshops appear to be in Umno’s sights. At which point will harassment also spread to the non-Muslims?

The only privileged people are the Umnoputras and their Malay and non-Malay cronies. The bottom of this heap is occupied by the Malay women who carry the angst of Malay Muslim issues but are burdened further by a Syariah court which has repeatedly failed to protect their rights.

The Malaysian activist, Norhayati Kaprawi, once said of Malaysia’s Muslim society: “It’s full of fear. If you don’t follow the mainstream you will be lynched.”
The cultivation of fear in both Muslims and non-Muslims, to control the behaviour of the population, will ultimately backfire. By then, Umno will have reached a point of ‘no-return’.

http://www.freemalaysiatoday.com/category/...oobs-and-books/

SEREMBAN: Who would be so spendthrift and foolish enough to pay RM1,000 for a rubber wrist band; RM2,500 for a hat; RM1,000 for a cloth bag; RM500 for a pen and RM480 for a necktie?

Answer: The same government that claims the country will go bankrupt if it offers free tertiary education to citizens.

Jerap MP Mohd Firdaus Jaafar, from PAS, pointed this out at a ceramah in Seremban last night. He got his figures from the 2010 National Audit Report.

According to the report, the Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board paid RM42,000 for 42 rubber wrist bands; RM45,000 for 18 1Malaysia hats; RM45,000 for 45 cloth bags; RM43,000 for 87 pens and RM48,000 for 100 neckties.
“When we asked for PTPTN to be abolished, BN leaders told the people the country would go bankrupt,” Firdaus said as he held up the Auditor-General’s report before the crowd.

“But they don’t mine spending lavishly, and these are just some of the many extraordinary expenses. I’m not creating stories; this is what is reported in the National Audit Report.”

Firdaus also warned his audience, many of whom were youths, to brace for dramatic increases in highway toll rates from the year 2015 onwards—that is, if Barisan Nasional remains in power.

“As everybody knows, there won’t be any toll increase until 2015. However from 2015 onwards, there will be a 5% rate increment every three years. This mean a total of eight increments between 2015 and 2038.

“The current toll rate from Juru (Penang) to Jalan Duta (Kuala Lumpur) is RM43.30 and from Kulai (Johor) to Sungai Besi (Kuala Lumpur) is RM43.30 as well.
“In 2038, you’ll have to pay RM62.30 for either route.
“Based on the answer given to me in parliament this week, the highway concessionaries collected RM11 billion from 27 expressways for the three years from 2008 to 2010.”

Firdaus told the crowd of about 300 people that only a change of government would bring about improvements in governance, claiming that Pakatan Rakyat policies would introduce policies to benefit the people, especially in reducing their economic hardship.

“Umno never thinks of the people’s hardship,” he said.

The ceramah crowd also heard speeches by Seremban MP John Fernandez (DAP), Bukit Kepayang state assemblymen Cha Kee Chin (DAP) and PAS central committee member Zulkefly Mohamad Omar.

http://www.freemalaysiatoday.com/category/...-a-rubber-band/
