Sager users i need your help

Hi all,

I tried to get some help from some users but they either don't respond or don't want to help me. I have a Sager NP8170 and i flashed it a few weeks ago with a Clevo P170HM bios (stupid me). I thought those bios files where the same but they where not. After i rebooted my windows 7 said i needed to activate my windows, after clicking on activate now it did not work. I contacted my supplier and he said i removed the SLIC 2.1 out of the bios and i flashed on my own risk. To fix this i need to have the SLIC 2.1 out of a current Sager bios and a certificate file to get it activated again.

1. Run the tool
2. Click on the basic tab and select save (slic 2.1 is this)
3. Click on the advance tab and select backup (certificate is this)
4. Upload all 2 files on www.mediafire.com and send by pm please!
*. Note that the .txt file is a oem-slp key ... i don't need it so please trash that file!!!

Please don't see this as warez or anything!, it try to fix my laptop by my self since my retailer is not next door and i refuse to pay for a recovery disc!

If someone will supply this i can give him a rapidshare account in return or some android games (paid ones).

Linux shutdown problem

Hi all,

I have a old notebook here and everything works fine when i use ubuntu/kubuntu/Fedora/Debian on it but all do have 1 problem with it. When i click on the shut down and see the linux logo it just hangs. I restarted the laptop and shut it down and pressed a F* key to see the things that will turn off and at the end when it says ''shut down'' the laptop just hangs/freeze.

Anyone knows what this problem is ??? i already tried to change the acpi without luck.
