[WTA] about a interested buyer (urgent)

Hi, I'm a newbie in selling my item to someone else (this is my very 1st time);

Basically there is right now a buyer who is interested to buy my item (a Rolex watch that cost 10k+);

He/she wrote me an e-mail (see the following);

QUOTE

Thanks,am satisfied with the price and I have arranged for a pickup agent( Shipper ) who will be coming to pick it up as soon as the payment is made and i'll like to pay u through Paypal, and do u have a Paypal account so i can make the payment of the fund??

So what do you guys think about this buyer's method of dealing? (I am really very afraid that this buyer will end-up "conning me" & then I will lose this expensive watch for good...)

Any of your inputs/advise will be very helpful & appreciated.

(Worse comes to worse, I can always sell off this Rolex watch to an authorized company/dealer of luxury watch such as wingwahwatch.com or milanclassic.net (but for significantly-less); but would this be a better idea...?)

---

What to do with coins

I have few boxes at home containing thousands of coins consisting of 5, 10, 20, & 50 cent coins, & also lots of RM1 coins. (All MYR currency.) Basically change/savings from over the years/forgotten...

Is it possible to bring all these coins to the bank to have them exchanged for paper notes, or have the total value (of all coins) bank into my savings account...? (Will the bank entertain this request...?)

---

Have anyone heard/know of this company/investment scheme? (It is mentioned to be a company that makes it's profits from FOREX trading...)

I haven't joined yet.

I tried searching on Google to find out more info but could hardly locate anything about this company/investment type...

But based on what I have heard, basically;

- Invest a minimum of USD$1000, & then reap some profit every month (About USD$50 - 100 based on my dad's friend's feedback so far who have just joined not long ago - he put in USD$1000 only).

- The more amount you invest/put in; the more you will receive every month. (They say some rich people can put in like $50k or more.)

- If another person joins/signs-up under you; you will get extra profit % from that. (If the person who joins under you puts in a big amount, or if another unknown person/stranger further down your line suddenly puts in say like $50k; then you can become very rich...)

It looks quite legit & convincing IMO in that the people (who are trying to get us to sign-up under them) are showing us detailed statements of their monthly profits in their private accounts of the company (indicating that the money really comes in every month, & the money can be withdrawn anytime for personal use)...

Let me know what you guys think about this kind of business/investment scheme...

I'm personally still rather lacking in info about it (I can't even locate the company's website for one; if they are having a public accessible website)...

---

Modding a Carburetor Engine

Hey guys;

I'm planning to upgrade the performance of my old school "carbureted" car in terms of it's engine power output...

The car is currently running on a stock iron-block Mazda B5 (1500cc) engine (8-valves SOHC layout with a 78mm x 78mm square bore & stroke).

I currently have in mind the idea of replacing it's stock two-stage twin-barrel carburetor with a "higher-performance" custom/aftermarket one (like the following)...

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Do you guys/sifus in here know of any performance/modification car workshops out there (around KL/PJ area) that mods carburetor car engines (one that sells performance carburetors & also knows how to setup & tune the new carburetor installation)?

Basically this is how the car performs on the road currently (on normal driving)...;

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

The video was originally created for a different topic.

Regards.

---

Big cc engine BMWs, Volvos, Audi, Mercedes, etc...

Hi;

I always used to hear that these sort of big cc "European" cars always come with a very-expensive maintainance, and also with very-high petrol consumption...

Also;

"Bigger cc engines always consume more petrol than smaller cc engines."

Is that true?

(Because I'm planning to go for a big cc car, around 3.0 liters, either from BMW, Volvo, Audi, and such...)

But I would really like to get the truths/facts before commiting...

Any inputs will be appreciated.

Using lower-viscosity engine-oil in old engine

Hi guys,

An engine-oil change will be due for my 20 year old car engine soon;

Currently, this old engine is using the Shell 15W - 40 Mineral engine-oil - (without having any white/blue smoke problems at all).

But for this coming engine-oil change, I am planning to go for the Shell 10W - 40 Semi-Synthetic engine-oil; which has a lower-viscosity - (it will be a thinner engine-oil grade for this old engine).

I would like to put a lower-viscosity (thinner-grade) engine-oil into this old engine to improve it's fuel-efficiency & horsepower. (Correct me if I'm wrong.)

However, I do not want to see any white/blue smoke issues pouring out from this engine after filling it with the lower-viscosity engine-oil...

So the thing is, what (the name of the components/parts) can I tell the mechanic to check/change inside this old engine - (that will minimize or eliminate the possibility of the white/blue smoke issue from happening?)

Your information/advice will be highly appreciated.

Looking for a used car:

Hello Sifus;

Here is my little situation:

I am about to retire from my old Ford Laser 1989 (using 5-gears manual transmission), and the car came with the following stock engine (just for your information only):

(Mazda B6, 53kW (71hp), 1.6 liter, Carburetor, 8-valve, SOHC) - Information from Wikipedia.)

Basically it is a very old & heavy car fitted with a very old engine, and the car is quite under-powered with the air-con turned on & going uphill. (It also consumes quite a lot of petrol, with quite costly maintenance sometimes.)

So for my next car, I am definitely looking for more power, better fuel-efficiency, + lower & cheaper maintenance. (However, I prefer not to spend too much, and it must use RON 95 petrol.)

I have been searching around in www.mudah.my for used cars, and I came across many models that just looks ideal (to my inexperienced eyes & mind), but I have some important questions lingering in my head (which I hope you can take the time to answer):

- Does a higher cc engine with turbo feature (e.g. 2.0 liter turbo) consumes more petrol, and does the engine also require premium grade petrol (e.g. RON 97)?

- Is the maintenance high for a car with modified engine?

Most of the time my driving style is smooth & gentle; with gradual and (not sudden) pick-up, slowing down, & stopping.

I always cruse on the highway at speeds around 110 kmph, and I would like it to be smooth & quiet (the RPM should be as low as possible to save petrol) - My current car already reaches a rather high RPM level at just 100 kmph, which puts quite a lot of strain on the engine, as well as a higher fuel consumption. (But with the air-con switched on, it is even worse.)

On the other hand, I would also like the car to have a faster pickup, and this is for those situations where I need to overtake, or cut into the other driver's lane & then keep up with their cruising speed quickly. (But the engine should not need to rev until so high RPM or use so much effort just to achieve this type of task. I would like it to be easy & relatively effortless to perform overtaking or cutting out from a lane packed with complete standstill cars into another lane with smooth flowing cars; without the other drivers having to wait long for me to pick up speed.)

I have the following car models in mind;

http://www.mudah.my/Proton+Satria+GTI+GSR-11361521.htm

http://www.mudah.my/PROTON+SATRIA+GSR+1+8M...bo-11649539.htm

http://www.mudah.my/Proton+Satria+GTI-12086815.htm

http://www.mudah.my/Proton+Satria+1+8+Mivec-11606830.htm

Please tell me what you guys think. (Will my selected car models be able to satisfy most of my criteria stated above?)
