Choosing the right notebook/laptop

Hi,

I will buy a notebook soon to replace my 4 year old dell 640m, my budget will be max RM3k or can be a lil bit more

I'm currently making a choice between

- Acer Aspire 5741G-524G50 RM2999
- Acer Aspire 4820tg-432g50 RM 2999
- Dell Vostro 3700 RM 2849-3180

My first priority for now is Acer Aspire 5741G-524G50. I'll be using the notebook for some medium gaming and uni homework(usually Autocad and office programs)

From what i read from the previous posts i can see that Vostro 3700 is highly recommended because of the 330m gpu, is this really important? The others specs don't even compare to Acer Aspire 5741G-524G50. A similar customized Vostro 3700 with i5-430m,W7hp, 4gb ram and 500gb hdd will cost RM 3,180.00.

Acer Aspire 4820tg-432g50 seems nice and price at RM 2999 but if i add 2gb extra ram, i expect it to price around Rm3180 also. The advantage about this model is the battery life up to 8hr.

I can see that Acer Aspire 5741G-524G50 was not mentioned in most of the previous posts in the laptop recommendation thread. What's the reason for that? And are there better models around?

I know some people might say, " why compare 3 notebooks with different size?" I have no comment on this, please leave this out of discussion. I do know smaller is better when going out to wifi hot spots:P

I don't want to make the wrong choice as my budget is very limited and i expect the notebook to last for at least 3 years. Is there any model which are worth to buy.

My priority goes by

-->performance/price
-->portability and battery life
-->durability

I assume that each model is reliable and require minimal trips to service centers. Even if the notebook break down, dell's warranty is excellant and Acer stores are literally scattered all over the country.
