In a way, i bought it out of curiosity because all this while i never had my own snare, and type of snares that i've ever played on are steel and maple shells.i can hear that steel shell snares are louder n ring a lot compare to its wood compatriot. i knw there are a lot more types of shall available in the market..there are a lot of demo videos on youtube but im particularly interested to hear from someone who played on various shells or listened to them first hand. muckstefan Musicians Wed, 05 Oct 2011 22:56:15 +0800
