Recovering Lost Photos on Android.

Hi y'all.
I was transfering a folder of photos from my internal memory to my SD card on my Huawei P9 via a laptop and after completion, i had an empty folder of the same name in my SD card. All my photos disappeared!
Tried using 'Android Data Recovery' software and 'Recuva' to recover them but to no avail, as these just cannot detect my phone and prompts me to install MTP or Android Composite ADB Interface, which the pc never stops searching for them. In fact, a noob like me won't know jack about these stuff.
Anyone has any greater solutions?
In fact, if there's a pro here who can do this for me, I'd pay for the service (must be reasonable of course).

I'm looking for a sure fire kitkat downgrade service for my Galaxy S4 which is currently running on lollipop 5.0.1. Also kindly advise if this would affect any third party apps that keep updating to newer versions.
