Hi all,

Little backstory. Paid a deposit of 3k to wedding venue to secure a date during 2020.
Unfortunately covid happened and couldn’t proceed with the venue etc.
Did try asking venue to return back the deposit as other vendors did so without questioning. Only this vendor is giving a whole lot of bs excuses like “deposit cant be returned 7 days before booking date etc”.
A whole lot of back and forth up to 2022 and we sent them a “final” email to appeal but they chose to ignore it.

Recently I personally manage to get to their physical location and asked nicely to return 100% the deposit. However a bunch load of excuses later, they’re only willing to return 2.5k and telan my 500 for “admin” and “commission” fees.

Although it may sound like “good news” im getting my money back. But it doesnt sit right with me that they’re still taking my money for some bs excuse. After through all that trouble visiting them and them ignoring me for 2 years they decided to cut some money out of my deposit for some bs excuse? Im definitely going to be petty and file a small claims or even do a police report. Does anyone have any experience on how it will be like?

Hi all

Posting on behalf.

Intro
Person X has been confirmed staff since late last year by old management team.
New management team called X in yesterday and verbally told Person X that they have been perform badly past 2 months and receiving complains from other team that person X not helping out.
New management nitpicks complains ( Other team told Person X to help out task not within scope by end of day when person X was on Al)
Due to that, new management chose to put person X into probation effective immediately for a month to improve. If no improvement Person X will be dismissed.

Noted that management did not give any written warning letter or notice or performance improvement plan. Just verbally say on the spot.

Once hearing that, Person X refused and on the spot say will resign.
Shortly later that day person X tenders resignation letter.

Question

1) Due to being verbal, is there any way to protect Person X for being forced to resign after being dealt this way?
2) is this solid enough to bring forward to labor office?

Good day guys,

Background

I've sent my job application to IBM as entry Accounting Analyst.

Sometime earlier this week I've received an automated email requesting me to complete their assessment and I've done it yesterday evening.

Problem
Just about an hour ago I've received 2 miss calls from 23018888 and did a Google search and it was IBM number itself. I tried contacting them but there were no operators available.
The reason why I had those 2 miss calls is because my phone was on silent when I'm driving back and I don't answer calls when I'm driving.

I tried sifting through all their emails sent to me but there were no personnel emails or telephone number to contact (Only a recruiter, name withheld)
I am wondering if they would call back another day or just dismiss my application as I didn't answer my phone?
Should I continue calling back them tomorrow and explain to the operator that I've a missed call from them?

Anyone experienced this issue before?
