Sony TV-HT issue

Hi guys, im having some issues with my

TV - KDL-48W600B
HT - HBD- DZ650

Connected via HDMI ARC

The setup has had issues notably
1) since 2 years ago, the HT would not connect on the first attempt and need to restart the tv and HT multiple times until it connects. BT and others works find during this period
2) recently the volume of the HT became super soft even at max settings for hdmi and even BT.

I have tried multiple solutions
1) replace HDMI cable
2) refreshing software for both tv and HT
3) factory restore for both tv and HT
4) checked and rechecked all settings and audio out

And still the problem persist. Has anyone faced this issue before? Kind of regret investing in Sony, assumed same brand setup would have been easier

Thanks in advance for any advice

HT system suddenly stops working with tv

Guys,

My home theatre system suddenly refused to work with my tv after 2 years of working fine.

Connection via hdmi to arc input at tv.

Tried everything including factory reset for tv but still no sound.

All settkngs have been tweaked to hdmi audio. Tv does detect the audio system as it switches automatically when i turn the audio system on. Switched hdmi cable also no luck

The dvd player works fine on its own, via bluetooth audio or other inputs. Just that tv doesnt work.

Tv model is sony kdl48-w600b
Sound system model is HBD-DZ650

All new Toyota Sienta

Have been following the Toyota Sienta since it launched in Japan last year. Seems like it is finally coming here to Malaysia.

Key items are
- VSC/TRC
- 3 airbags
- Hill Start Assist
- all round disc brake
- auto sliding power door
- dive in seat configuration

Specification
1.5L dual VVTI (107ps 143nm)
7 speed CVT

Measurements
- 4,235 mm long, 1,695 mm wide and 1,700 mm tall

Price
G - RM92,000
v - RM99,000

Basically seems like a perfect car for a small family with a sub 100k budget. Nothing much to shout about in terms of performance, but What i find most interesting is the seat confIguration in 5 seater mode where the third row 'dives' under the second row seats, freeing up a lot of space for cargo. And of course, the power sliding doors and low access to the car. Perfect for families with small babies or old parents. Looks wise also is more love it or hate it, but the main selling point is probably its practicality and decent safety line up

What do you think guys? Falling in love with this car 😁
My final wish will be for it to come in hybrid variants, but probably might cost a bomb

VGA switcher

Hello Guys,

Was planning to get a VGA switcher for 2-3 laptops to connect to a single projector for presentation purposes. (1 at a time of course )

Looked up online and found products like this which costs
generally around RM100. My question is are these switches usable?

Googled up and read about issues like ghostings and all in
cheap switches, but for me as long as it is able to quickly and seamlessly switch between laptop, I will be ok.

Anyone have experience to share?

Link

Hello guys,

Im preparing a presentation where i would like to show a video that would show something along the themes of

1) Inspiration
2) Fighting spirit
3) Coming back up when you're down
4) Fight to the end

So far ive found one from Rocky Balboa (2006), which says

QUOTE

Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you're hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done. Now, if you know what you're worth, then go out and get what you're worth. But you gotta be willing to take the hit, and not pointing fingers saying you ain't where you are because of him, or her, or anybody. Cowards do that and that ain't you. You're better than that!

Would appreciate any input from movie junkies here. Desperately need help as my presentation will be on Monday.
IP camera

Hello guys,

Im currently looking for an IP camera to suit my below needs:

1) Monitor the area btween my main door and grill to my apartment in case of breakins. Distance ~2-3ft
2) Catch the culprit who throws rubbish on the floor instead of the rubbish room. (they need to pass through in front of my house) ~4-5ft
3) Live feed to my phone/ipad/pc
4) Works well over Wifi to avoid the need of messy cables
5) Budget <RM500

So far ive found the Aztech WIPC408HD to suit my needs most, but am a bit cautious since it’s a model launched close to 2 years ago.
Any suggestions is much welcomed

Hello guys.

I recently got myself a 1000w sony 5.1 speakers. I dont think its tht powerful but the bass causes my plaster ceiling to have a slight rattling sound. (Sounds like the metal bracket inside rattling).

Its not that loud but is it any cause for concern?

Thanks. Would be great if anyone have had the same experience

Hello guys,

A family member of mine was caught on Friday night for what i believe was possession of drugs.

He was caught with a friend and indonesian in the same house suspected of taking drugs and was taken into custody.

So far he has been remanded for 4 days and the police have requested rm3k not for bail but for prosecutors charges.

For me it doesnt make any sense at all and i am a bit sketchy on info at the moment as i have been left out of most of the conversations.

However i believe there is something wrong with the story. And family members involve are quick to conclude that its a dirty cop work trying to gain money.

i believe that there are dirty cops around but are they really that stupid to catch a criminal and remand without prove?
But there wasnt even a urine test to start with which makes it even more peculiar.

My question is are there such thing as prosecutors charges as i dont even know who is the prosecutor and what they are prosecuted for.
and is my hunch right that there is a bigger story to this and what can we do about it?

What I intend to do is to have a medium sized (10"-12") rain shower connected to my soon to purchase water heater

My current method is to purchase a water heater with pump and rain shower, and purchase a new shower head seperately to fit to replace the default shower head (as the one provided with the heater is small)
Approximate cost would be
Water heater with rain shower- RM700-RM800
10-12" Shower head - RM300-RM400

The heater model im planning to get (joven i70p)

Question 1
My question is, do I have any alternative way to get a rain shower setup with my heater since from what I checked
the rain shower column itself can cost between RM500-RM1000

Question 2
Will my water heater with pump be able to produce enough presure to push the water up to the rain shower?
Current built in shower head has decent water pressure. (any idea how I can quickly check the pressure readings?)

Question (slightly off topic)
Why is the water pressure in my 2nd bathroom stronger than the one in the master bedroom?

Question 4
Are the shower head fittings standard?

Thanks in advance!

Dimming a t5 light?

Guys, after installing the plaster ceiling in my condo unit i noticed that the yellow t5 lighting in the cove were too bright for my liking. I installed a dimmer for the white LED lights but not the cove lightings. Since the white downloghts are LEDS i guess the dimmer could be installed without a problem but my question is,

Can i install the same dimmer for my t5 lights?

Thanks in advance!

Questions on lightings

Guys, im currently looking for lights for my plaster ceiling reno. Have a few enquiries on the lighting required

For downlight, if I were to go for LED
1) How much is the budget for a decent brand light?
2) What brand do I look for?stopped by Top Ten lighting and House of lighting and I don’t even know what to look at. Only differentiate by watt, price & Size
3) For a 9ft (probly 8ft after plaster) ceiling, how many watts/lumens should I be looking for?asked the shopkeeper about lumens and he just stared blankly at me
4) is LED really as reliable as they say it is?

T5
1) What are the decent brands around? Came acrosss JSE(RM16) and GE(RM24). Of course GE is better but about double the price. How much should I budget per piece?
2) What other 'specs' do I need to watchout for when buying a T5?
Guys, was planning to replace my badly scratched specs soon. My power is above 1000 (ill be dead during a zombie apocalypse) and need to find a place where i can get as much discount on the lenses as possible.most places i went quoted around 1500-1600 for the lenses only >< . Of course service is also a priority. Some shops really dont know how to treat customers

Preferably around shah alam or subang area.

Thanks in advance!

Confusion over Loan Application

Guys,

For my first home loan i applied at a few banks but after 2 weeks and only one reply from RHB, i decided to proceed with them. However just after i signed today, CIMB called saying that my loan has been approved which leads me to a few questions

1) Can i still cancel my loan after the LO has been signed?if yes what are the penalty imposed?
2) Rates are as below, is RHB still a wise choice?

RHB (Equity home financing-i)
Rate :BLR -2.4
Tenure :30 yrs
Term :Semi flexi (Questionable - Refer to 3)

CIMB
Rate : BLR -2.0
Tenure	: 40 Years
Term : Full Flexi
Additional	:Company subsidy for 50% monthly interest portion up to 200k value.

3) Regardless of the outcome from question 1, im starting to have some doubts with the RHB banker as she claimed to be semi-flexi, but there's no current account involved, only saving accounts and theres no such thing as dumping money in current account to reduce interest rate. I can only pay more monthly to reduce principal. Meaning no withdrawal. Is this a semi-flexi or normal term loan??

ive tried reading around on the internet for weeks before but cant make a decision now. Hope u guys can advice and Thanks in advance!
