DVD Drive Missing

I'm using windows vista..
and then i just realised that when i opened 'Computer', the only thing that exists is the local C drive which is the default and only drive i have anyways..
my dvd drive is gone and i can't access to it.. whenever I put a dvd inside the drive my laptop doesn't seem to detect the disc..

I dun remembering uninstalling the dvd drive too.. Help ?

Can u guys out there recommend a good and nice adware/spyware removal program that can remove almost any threats to my comp ?
I'm not sure wat i downloaded for the past few days that could possibly caused a Norton based Scanning program to keep on reappearing on my desktop even tho i removed it multiple times already..
Once i removed it, it will be gone till the next time i restart my comp, den the Norton program will reappear again..

Will someone plz help me wit my problem ?

As i noe, da db9 has a 6.0L engine..
n according 2 msia rules, 6.0L engines can't b cruising along msia roads right ?
but my fren said he saw a db9 on da road a few days ago.. is he bullshiting me or wat ?
or is ther another smaller engine ver. of da db9 ?

Is it advisable 2 take Mechanical Engineering or Automotive based course ?
cos Mechanical Engineering seems to require a higher qualification.. so does it means its betta 2 take tat ?
