currently see hp m12w by hp MYstore, reviews say got better option like dell or brother but the latter of the two doesnt have online store in malaysia
please advice?
buying from lazada/lelong online etc is my last resort

new laptop slow startup

Hi, i purchased an acer e5 for my mum (latest gen i5, 4gb ram 940m version, cant remember the model number)
at dealer's shop startup seems fine, everything looks good.
but when we reached home the startup seems cranky a lil, booted to desktop @40+s, then desktop screen turned black for over 2minutes + before recovering then the cursor still loading, lag like hell..
wondering if i can use recovery to wipe acer's inhouse app, just not sure if it will void my warranty or not?
sending back to the shop will be my 2nd last resort since all are working + far + parking issues... any advice>?

hello, i'm not sure if software thread can include questions on mobile app or not ^^

got my personal number and company both require whatsapp, on adroid
currently using parallel space and the clone app is not active (message doesnt come in) unless i open the app, and consuming alot resources
any other alternatives? ive read about ogwhatsapp but afraid it might be the same issue,.. (need both active at the same time)

swollen battery on asus laptop

as title, my friend suspect a swollen battery in my laptop after seeing my deformed touchpad
the battery model nowadays not removable, hence have to send to service center.

anyone can provide a rough estimate on the cost to change the battery
(aside from inspection fee rm100, and assuming the issue is swollen battery)

a rough idea on the deformed touchpad, the lefthand side of the touchpad is sort of skewered upwards a lil over 1.3 cm, observed the deformation started around 6 months in after purchase but thought it was due to poor workmanship (for a 1700myr laptop, i'm not biased, but please dont get me wrong on the expectation of budget laptop).

could use some advice here, thank you!

hello, i have this mono-multifunction laser printer m205b by fuji xerox, age around 3years and 3months. recently printing with very fade ink (not sure how to describe it, just pale) so i thought it was toner running out. i replaced a new set of high cap toner but the problem still persists, after a while even nothing came out

ps. just fyi all the while i'm using compatible toner instead of genuine ones, as i'm still a student and cannot afford the original toner.

so what can i do with the printer? tried clean developer and refresh mode from utility tool but with no luck. could it be end of life for my printer? what i've searched from the internet is that the drum is fixed and is not replaceable, so the printer is gg if its drum failure.

Hey guys, I'm planning to get a laptop with only dos as it is cheaper compared to that with Windows installed, however I'm not sure if there's any drawbacks for this, like drivers not properly installed when I used my own disc?

Need advice from pros here, whether it will present any problems when I install windows on my own. Currently have USB bootable windows installer for 8.1pro

im a student and my laptop has been stolen in a recent house robbery, and i'm now forced to use back my old laptop, 7 years old with 1 more semester remaining. here are the specs of the laptop:
aspire4720
core2duo t5450 1.66ghz;667mhz;2mbl2
512+512mb ddr2
Mobile Intel 965GM

i'd clean install 32bit win8 and the laptop is using about 80% ram just with 2 tabs of IE opened. my concerns is
should I stick with this laptop + getting 1gbx2 ram
or just get a new budget ones?

i'd checked on crucial.com and it suggested me to get matching rams 1gbx2, instead of removing 1' 512 for another 2gb, isit true for old mb like mine?

I'm updating the game today. With 79mb update size with my phone storage having 1gb left, my 620 prompt insufficient space message. I cancelled the update and later found that my storage become 0b left, setting app is worth 1.6gb big. I tried soft reset the setting is still that big and the game is gone, u went to the store and the game option below is install instead of check install, with game size 79mb
now I'm stucked with kb space and unable to uninstall the game. Please help

dull and unused hat

i got one cap that is fully green w/o any printed logo on it and i find it dull.
another black cap has a logo that i dont like and i didnt wear it for like a year.

anything i can do to makeover the hat? in the sense of adding/replacing the logos

Laptop speaker no audio

im not sure since when my laptop built in speaker dont have sound, it could be when im configuring dota 2 resolution settings. [from 4:3 to 16:9 aspect ratio]. but when i plug in my headphones i can hear clearly sound from my headphones.

i5 430m
ati hd5470

sound, video and game controllers (from device manager):
ati hd audio device 5.0.7000.9
realtek hd audio 6.0.1.6050

i'd tried to return the ration to its original 1 but my speaker doesnt seem to recover. i found some solutions on the net (listed below) and tried, but none worked.

-rebooted laptop. everytime the laptop reboot (at the acer logo where u can go bios settings) i can hear a pop sound from the laptop, not a loud 1.
-checked for realtek hd audio being ticked as default speaker
-checked for Fn F8
-checked there's no exclamation or red symbol beside my sound card and speaker in device manager
-checked audio device driver are up-to-date
-uninstalled realtek hd audio and rebooted laptop but still no sound after autoinstallation
-used system restore to restore laptop back to that morning
-plug headphone jack in and out several times

any idea what went wrong?
